great quality out of a trip 35! I'm far too used to agfa vista and cheap developing...

Cheers! The lens on the Trip always surprises me no matter how many times I use it.

Nick, another great set of urban monochromes!

Cheers Adrian. Since I started my own developing I've started seeing Everything in mono!

No large paper in the darkroom? Guess Ill just have to collage 17 sheets of expired and partially fogged 7x5 paper instead.

Full of fingermarks and developing defects but they add to the character :D

Coolzz:cool:

How big is that and which enlarger are you using Rob ?

Cheers Joxby
The image is about 14 inches square, i used a knackered Durst M670 which is incapable of producing a sharp print as it is missing one of it's wall mounts, so it shakes like a ******** dog whenever you breathe near it

So I shot some T64.

It was tough going, coulda done with a snoot and grid.

Had to use barn doors and black card baffles, shutter speed was so slow half of them were soft, and it took hours to set up.

oh well, ya live'n'learn..

Edit......So I'm having real trouble hosting these, they look fine in gimp, Nikon Capture, PS and jpg viewer, but where ever I host and post, the reds are blown to hell and back.....what's all that about...

Reports were that the snow wasn't gonna hang around, so I nipped out last Saturday morning for a quicky.....lol

The enlarger I use belongs to the uni photography society and the darkroom is in the basement of the students union next to the music venues, so at about 6pm the bands start soundchecking and any hopes of getting a sharp print go out of the window.

Should quietly encourage more indie/folk/singer-songwriters to play there :D

What he said ^^

Mel, another cracker, you must have enough shots for Shard Essay.

I'm going to buck the trend here and say that while it's very well taken I think it could do with having a bit more skyline. What i'm trying to say is that i think it would benefit from not being a square shot. Keep the position of the Shard, keep the same exposure settings but be a 3:2 ratio image rather than a 6x6, granted this isnt exactly possible with your blad though, unless you had a 50mm and cropped.

Just my thoughts.

Osh, that shot is beautiful. I've got a 5-pack of Velvia waiting to be used, really excited now!

Finally got round to getting my shots from the TP film meet developed..

Had a little play with this one in Lightroom which is something I wouldn't usually do (apart from contrast/curves). Quite happy with myself for managing to shoot this handheld at about 1/15th  Shame about the massive scratch. I really should stop using the squeegee thing that came in my processing kit.

Please tell me there's some detail in that cloud that could be extracted in the darkroom?:(:( It would be epic if there was.

I would say from the look of it the sun is behind those spindly branches so that detail is gone forever! ;)

That is a very nice shot indeed, love the reflections in the wet pavement, great interest in the subject and nicely exposed. Very accomplished image making in my view!

Many thanks Adrian  I was hoping against hope that she wouldn't move during the exposure! My only regret is that I didn't have the 50 on. I feel that the 28 may have been a little too wide and that the 50 would have made for a more pleasing composition. I really should start putting them both in my work satchel in the morning

Liking those Jim, lovely tones in all 3.

Skysh4rk, loving the first one. A few details please, film, camera, lens. Ta.

Thanks Andy. I think I am now mostly happy with the look I am getting.

Hi Andy,

I used my trusty Nikon F-801 with the AF Zoom-Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D IF-ED lens (whew, what a name...) and Portra 400 film. This was taken two days before Christmas, so the normally busy Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland was virtually deserted, except for that guy off in the distance atop the rocks.

Nice trails shot RJ - could you boost the saturation & contrast and details in the sky. Would make it really epic and compliment the drama of the trails I think!

Thanks, Mel.

Yeah, I might tinker with the sky a bit in photoshop later to see what I can get from it.

I was a bit late getting to this spot to take the picture in the first place, however, so I could even just go back there and take the photo the way I originally intended, which I think would help with both the sky and getting smoother, longer light trails.

Other roll of HP5 from the boots deal, this time through the Trip 35, I think its got a bit of a light leak, the centre of the frame was a good stop brighter than the edges. I've mostly fixed it in post.

Edinburgh Castle (again) This time with the Telfer Wall on the right.

Liking the composition Steve....where's the light leak getting in??....Perhaps repairable??
