Show us yer film shots then!

Been itching to post in here.
Just getting into film again, since that was all there was!

These were taken in Cornwall, first week in September....just got around to getting them processed.
Process and scan to disc at Ag Photo Lab.

Olympus OM2.
28mm.
Ilford HP5 400.

Asha,

Lovely composition and the cross and diagonal shadows are just wonderful, the focus in the mid focal point are spot on and if I am correct is that your lovely wife as the distant focal point. Rolleipan give great texture to the shot.

Richard.

Taken with the eos 100 but it is playing up, keeps turning off immediately after a shot leaving the shutter stuck open. New battery makes no difference, so I am losing half of the frames from each film. :'(

Michael - gorgeous shots! The beach ones especially, but I love the crab too. The glass-like shot of the beach is lovely.

Glad you like Richard...Many thanks for your kind words:thumbs:

Yes it is my lovely Pauline sat there:love: ......it was one of only a few shots I took whilst in the UK a few weeks back.

The schneider glass in the Retinette is not bad at all and to say the camera is pretty much a P&S it offers a half decent result.

As for Rolleipan, the Superpan 200 suits me just fine....I like the results it offers and the speed is spot on down here as 400 iso is often a tad too fast during the day for shooting wide apertures in the sun.

I think it was purely by chance I got some sun in Yorkshire and didn't need 3200 iso :D :D

Another one.

I reckon it's worth looking at trying to sort the shutter issue out if you can get results like these....The detail, particularly in the second shot is superb:thumbs:

Goodness me, another superb page of photos. Time to bring the level down a bit....

Here's a few from my newly serviced Leica II from 1931 on an Leica Elmar 5cm f3.5 and Agfa Vista £1 film.

Overall I'm quite pleased but I think the lens is passed its best. There are a lot of cleaning marks on the front lens and its not very contrasty but it seems to render colour quite well and produces ok images in good light.
I may need to save up for something a bit better though. All pretty much straight from the scanner with a bit of spot removal.

Cheers

Andy

Like the eerie feel to this......something similar without the vehicles ( and possibly erase the bin too) could make a very good scene imo

Struggled a bit with getting the colours right on this one - but I quite like the scene. Taken on my OM2 with the 16mm fisheye, Portra 160 and home devved with Rollei's Digibase chems.

Buys a Leica and uses poundland colour film, I thought only Yorkshiremen were that stingey?

Maybe, but at least Cheshiremen can spell stingy....... Actually it was just a test, there will be a roll of good stuff put through it this week.

Good, otherwise Ernst Leitz would be spinning in his grave

I wasn't sure if it was the lens or the film, but the contrast is very low, isn't it? I don't really understand why that should be, given a once-good lens, unless there's the dreaded "fungus" (which I've never seen, yet). Like the pics though, especially the first one; she stands out really nicely! You must be very happy... unless you've just convinced yourself to spend another few hundred on a replacement lens!

Excellent shot Matt, lovely and sharp and a great composition.

Well they all look very good indeed. I particularly like the busy feel of the second one. I am guessing you must be feeling very please with the Hasselblad!

I should say I like the Shard shots too!

Oooh, I like them all. Curse you Mel, I had pushed Hasselblads firmly into my "do not think about, you cannot afford!" pile :P

That second shot is great, full of energy and movement.

Very much so, the detail in the roof is impressive and the contrast of the moving and static people conveys the wait-or-hurry-up feeling of a train station.

What film were you using, Mel?

Some one from star trek? Someone from the royal family with blue blood?

He's just messed up his white balance...:nuts::nuts:

Second attempt at posting this picture. The slide looks great, but finding it difficult to get it scanned properly. :bang:

It was taken on Fuji Velvia 50 with a Bronica SQ-Ai and 40mm lens.

I'm only connected on a dongle just now, so just the one today, from November. I really like this tree, suspect you might see it again...
