Show us yer film shots then!

 at the last one, Javier.

What'll your son buy with his $20?

These are my first ever shots on film, having been a digital user since I started (around 6 years ago). All shot on Fuji Neopan 400Cn @ 50mm and around ISO 200. Apologies for the crap border on the first one.

Nothing wrong with those  - and Welcome aboard BTW :)

Another from the Yashica D test roll.. some flare, but nothing as bad as the next three shots on the roll..

Lens hood on it's way.. ..

Jamadams, lovely shots. I really like the border on #1, I think it makes the picture look more like a print. I normally try and leave the edges of the film in if I can. Most of the phone apps that simulate film have these rough boarders, so they must be cool 8)

Whoah, that 2nd one is very creepy..... ^^^^ Both very nice though.

Andy

I'll be developing acros 100 and tri X 400, what are your thoughts on what to use? (applies to all willing to contribute :) lol )

Never used Acros 100 but have used Kodak Tri-X deved in Rodinal for 1 hour.
A :bang: moment with these as I open the back of the camera before I had fully wound on the film hence the slight uneven dev.

Cheers Andy - the picture does come across as quite creepy, but in person that street performer was getting a lot of laughs, because it was just so odd and so different to all the impersonators of well known celebrities.

[Robert DeNero voice] you lookin' at me? [/Rober DeNero voice]

That one really made me smile, I like it :)

excellent expression but i think it was

meh, you might be right :p been a long day :)

Daniel (11 years old) wants to buy a spare inner tube for his Mongoose

Isn't a Mongoose a little on the large side for an 11 year old? How about a hampster, it'll probably be cheaper to feed ;)

Got my first roll of XP-2 developed at Jessops today. Was impressed with the quaility, think I found my 'go to' film.

Shot a roll of XP2 over the weekend and just had the 99p negs back from tesco (just running them through the scanner) :) Cracking film, the contrast/grain from it is just lovely!

Belting shots btw

Thanks for the kind words! I bought a couple more rolls today from Boots along with a roll of Kodak B&W c-41 as well. Going to see a beached ship in Wales tomorrow so going to pop a roll in my 'big' film camera (Minolta X300) :)

Hmm, 99p and scanned you say? Aldi currently have a film scanner for thirty notes. I could be tempted :D

...I know it would probably be bobbins but my budget is extremely tight :)

Don't do yourself the disservice of getting one of those 'film scanners', which is basically just an awful digital camera pointed at a light source. I got my Epson Perfection Photo 4180 for £25 second hand, and it has a proper film negative scanning portion, with proper holders and it can also scan medium format if you want to take the plunge.

I know it's a tad tedious trying to trawl on eBay for a scanner but it might just pay off. Check local classifieds as well, as well as the for sale section on this site (don't know if you are eligible). Good scanners hold on to their value well.

Agree...did toy with it initially but ended with an Epson V500...didn't pay £25 for it though

Don't think I do qualify for classifieds on here. If I decide to purchase one I will probably trawl the Ebay!

(sorry for dragging the thread slightly OT)!

Both taken with my Yashica Mat, developed in T-Max Dev 1+4. The top shot was T-Max 400, the bottom Acros 100.

qualification is now 25 posts and 60 days - joining date 13/5/2011 so your time's up in a couple of days

Alan, you're too good to post in here....get out! :) Lovely image, great lines and very sharp

Why thanks.

People looking at the Gum Wall in Post Alley, Seattle. The Market Theater Gum Wall is a local attraction where people stick their gum in addition to coins all over a brick wall. If you find a fresh one, it still has some flavor left I've found. :gag: I also took a color shot of the wall yet to be developed.

Zeiss Planar CF T* 100mm f3.5, Kodak 400TMY, PMK Pyro, Pentax Spotmeter V

I've heard about that wall! It was on TV here and my girlfriend had to leave the room :D

Great shots

Catching up on scanning..

Shot about 3 months ago on Kodak Ektar.. RB67, 180mm.. not sure on the exposure but it was based on the Ultimate Exposure Computer rather than an actual lightmeter reading. I find the UEC is pretty good once you've got your eye in and "calibrated" it against known scenes.

Love that line about the gum wall "It was named one of the top 5 germiest tourist attractions in 2009, second to the Blarney Stone"

Thanks. It's really not as gross as it sounds. The gum makes the wall all pastel color and they dry hard plus it gets washed by the rain.

Thanks. I still have some stuck between my teeth. Interesting you guys heard about the wall over there. It doesn't seem like that big of an attraction.
