Thanks guys :)
Marvin, i really like that adox stuff, it was on on the first roll through my RB67 and my lightmeter wasnt playing along so i had to resort to sunny 16 and managed to pull it off. Its not the most forgiving black and white film but you can salvage it if it doesnt go to plan, scanning is more forgiving than wet printing.

i have a version of this where i removed the scratched and played with the curves a bit and i will upload it soon :)

Rob, you already know I think that shot is a winner! Really like it fella, would love to get back there at sunrise if possible!

Javier, still really liking your style fella, gritty and quite unusual. works well imho!

Freecom, that is a winner of a shot imho. Great composition, DoF works well, and the whole aesthetic just feels right. Really good stuff!

I really like the photos using the Ilford XP-2. I have just treated myself to a few rolls of it as they had it on a 3 for 2 offer in Boots :D The plan is to load it into the X-300 when the 28mm lens arrives tomorrow!

Novice question...the XP-2 says C41 on the box so I am assuming I can get it developed on the high street? Sorry if this is an ignorant question I just don't want to waste my money!

Yep - C41 = standard minilab fodder :)

And believe me, there have been far more basic questions than that asked in here ;)

Thanks for the reply! The hope now is that I load the film correctly and don't waste any exposures!

Shot with my ETRS on the new Portra 400 - so far I love this film!!!

@alistair: I hope you weren't just hiding behind the police... interesting that the one on the left is practising his Hitler impression though :D

I love that portra 400 stuff Jakska,

I have just run off another roll of pan f plus 50. What a film. I love how it renders shadows and dark tones.

Most of what I have shot lately has been on a Rolleiflex or Zenit. Someone help me before I sell my digi kit and invest in a Bronica, a nice 35mm, a spot meter, 12 kilos of film and a darkroom. I realise I'll get no discouragement here...

Another shot of a nice statue....it's in a church yard and commemorates where a hut used to be, where children of the area were taught the bible.

Superia 200, Kiron zoom, Asda dev & scan and further improvements in PS.

More from my ME SUPER, SMC-M50F/1.4 and Ilford XP-2. I should mention that XP-2 is normally not this grainy. I purposely underexpose it 2/3 of a stop to get the grain as I am a grain lover.

just a note...i took C41 into Tesco on 2 occasions - both came back ruined during development

now all my C41 goes to Photo Express
http://www.photo-express.co.uk/digital-services.phpdevelop and scan to CD with an index sheet in the CD cover

all for a £5 incl P&P - turnaround about 3/4 days.......

Thank you. :)

Javier, a really good set of B&W, I like the scaffolding shot the best, earthy and great composition.

As a aside I think your colour shots are much more dramatic, it must be the light and place that you are in.:clap:

Do not forget the .50p discount per film for TP user's.

I usually use Max Spielmann for colour film. The lady in my local one seems to be on the ball. But with the Ilford I might take it into Jessops as a friend of mine actually recommends them.

As with anything on the high-street - it depends on the branch you go to, and probably more so, the staff therein. My local Asda in Wakefield were great - then they refurbished the store, removed the processing kit, and installed a print-from-memory card booth instead :(

John's recommendation of photo-express seems a decent enough deal for post-away processing tbh.

Cheers - I'm getting the hang of my TLR more and more, and it's unbelievably satisfying getting photos out of it.

Here's another from Portobello Road Market:

Again, Yashica Mat, Fomapan 100 and T-Max Dev 1+4.

Slight shame about the arm of that guy on the right hand side, but in some ways having the whole negative as the picture makes it slightly more 'honest' in my opinion - like you are seeing exactly what I pointed at.

Ok, as title says first attempt with Ir. Rollie infrared 400s R72 filter, shot on a Contax 167mt and Planar 50mm 1.7

What speed did you rate that at, or did you shoot at 400 and use EC for the filter?

correct me if I'm wrong.....

Do they do 120 film as well John ? just a bit of research for the potential second round of the Homeless Holga.

Canon AE-1, FD28 and UltraMax 400....Over exposed by a full stop. I have been doing this to brighten up the
photos more, but this time, it did not seem to work. Needed faster shutter speed than 1/1000 as I kept exceeding
the lens aperture closing and thus diffraction...Live and learn. I figured I actually over exposed about 1.5 stops...

You are correct John, I had forgotten that as I always send a least two film at a time.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I'm really starting to like Kodak E100G slide film, the film reputed to be as good as Kodachrome (?). One thing's for sure, it scans like a dream.

This shot is straight from a Pentax LX, 24mm SMC-M lens, and scanned on a Epson V500 with no adjustments. A great film.

A shot from Inverpolly taken last saturday...
