Show us yer film shots then!

M40 right? Nice shots - I found it very hard to shoot these, my pics were carp in comparison.

Thanks for liking these shots.
And sixtoes:- indeed at the end of the M40 by the Denham roundabout, so you were the artist  ....and the shots weren't anything to do me as the Yashica FR1 did all the work ;)

This is a VG graffiti in a deserted house in Ibiza (this shot not taken by me):-

About 50 yards down hill from the house, is this lovely beach Hexanon 50mm f1.7:-

After all the cheeriness, I thought I'd go bleak and depressing :)

Amazing - these places of rock legend - the Troubadour, Roxy and the Whisky-a-go-go - I knew they were just manky little clubs in West Hollywood (much the same as the Original Marquee Club in London), but it's fascinating to see 'em in daylight

****Some real Hollywood landmarks.***

.....and don't forget the Laurel and Hardy steps. ;)

Taken with my Rollei SL35E Planner 50mm and Kodak 400Asa, very OOD
I know the rule of thirds, but with this sky, I went for the rule of halves.

From my test roll through the new (old) Minolta X-300 using Kodak film from the pound shop (on a tight budget at the moment)!

St John's Beacon. Was testing the 70-210mm Miranda lens at this point.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks and if ever the time, I would love to see the old time UK hang outs as well. I love Rock and metal and its history is awe-some!

I never managed to get to any concerts at the original Marquee club on oxford street, though I did see a few bands at the Wardour Street version (Motorhead, Def Leppard, Guns n Roses) before it also closed. Wasn't the same when it moved to Charing Cross  Guess the floor wasn't sticky enough

This must be the smallest church I've ever seen....yeah I know about crappy colours etc but it was a dull day and I was tested out the lens.

I think it is very cool. I really like old churches like that, especially little ones. They have lots of life and stories to tell. What lens where you testing?

Indeed Javier churches inside and out are great subjects, many in the UK have some part (or all) of the church going back 1000 years or more. The lens was the same used for under the motorway graffiti, if you see one in a garage sale or charity shop for a few bucks buy it.

Trying out a new lens. I believe it is a 1961 Chevy truck with a 1950 GMC panel truck in the background.

Nice shot Brian, I like that.

Looks like the new lens is working ok Tuco and the new Portra looks good as well.

Ah! if you can't get an excellent result with a Zeiss lens, then a photographer can only blame himself ;)

***real "Beauty in Decay" stuff***

Ah so you would like this ;)

Javier, love your shots of people on the street - do you just shoot and go? Do you find people get annoyed at you?

Some architecture shots, Canon EF 35mm f3.5 Sensia 100 ( nice to give the 35mm a workout for a change)

I have had a quick roll of XP2 through it and despite some minor metering woes I am loving the analogue feel!!

#3 is absolutely fantastic - very smart composition of your shot there. That picture stood out instantly, but the others are also pleasant. Did you use one of the ESs?

Thanks. This film scans real easy. So far it has been easy to adjust the color even though my scanning software does not have a profile for it. My attempts with the New Portra 400, on the other hand, have been very difficult to even get the color half-way correct. Go figure.

I think Zeiss lenses have a stigma and sometimes can be overrated. Not all their lenses are the sharpest knife in the drawer. Some of my Pentax 6x7 lenses do just as nice and the range finder lenses for a Mamyia 7ii I've seen are really stunning.

Love that one Tuco - real "Beauty in Decay" stuff

Thanks so much.

I see John's still not caught his train yet (#3)

Big John is still waiting, only fitting that he's immortalised there, he saved the place from the wrecking ball in the 60's if my modern history is correct!

A nice feel to these shots, no.2 particularly. There is nothing like B+W film..time to go out and buy some proper stuff now though ;)
Cheers! the XP was only chosen because I knew I could get it done in 1Hr locally and I had no idea if the camera was leaking any light or not, the next step is the proper stuff indeed, I might even have a pop at developing it myself!!

Number 3 was just a grab shot! its composed like that in the camera, tried to get his eyes and nearly managed!!
I used the ME SE which seems to be metering more of less right! I gave the ME Super to Bryan (Newbee) off here, he used it for the day and took it home after.

Love the Square crops and I really need to try some of the new Porta. The 400 also seems to be an amazing film. Great colors and comp.

Thank you.
I pretty much shoot what I see. I am very obvious and deliberate. Every once in a while, people do get annoyed, but not to bad really. There are more pics on my flickr.
Thanks again :)

that's more "some Pikey nicked a car and torched it a few years ago" surely...

A few cars there, either stolen or a dumping ground on private land......in a posh area as well.
