Show us yer film shots then!

#1 I like alot, the rest are a bit... perspectivey? for me - not that they aren't nice shots, just me I guess :D

Mmmm... perspectivey..... a word I think should be used much more oftener than it is. :D

Thanks Arthur

Andy

Two from the graphic on velvia 100, I am regretting not bringing the beast to uni :(

I absotiveley agree.

Love the first one Liam, second one is a bit too minimalist for my perspectivity.

Andy

+2 too, first is moody and well-composed, it does rather make the second look out-classed - although on it's own #2 is OK too.

My grand daughter Canon 28mm f2.8 Fdn probably superia 200asa

Now this is what Life is about.

Lovely shots there TBY & Liam  And excalibur2, that second shot is priceless

Here are a couple of scan from a recent trip to the Lake District.

#2 is epic, but I think I prefer the first one Guy - simple and yet effective

Thanks chaps :) Yes Star, medium format, with my Mamiya RB67. Using a new dev (for me) called Prescysol 100+1+5, semi-stand developed for 11.5 mins.

Nice RB67 work.....if you can develope yourself and have a scanner, why bother with 35mm B/W shots when MF gear can be used. A big'un always beats a littl'un.

the price is different. but yes. If you're not a pro. MF + scanner + huge lcd + lightroom is the way to go ! :)

Because my mamiya weighs more than my bike :D And you need a light meter / less shots per film...

But I agree the first shot is awesome Guy.

Yeah, weight is a bit of an issue. Was a bloody mare lugging the RB67 and 4 lenses, Canon 30D and 3 lenses and a Manfrotto 055 up Pavey Ark to get that second shot! ;)

#1 is nice but ultimately also ran, when put beside #2
#2 is........biblical....it was 5x4 all the way in my mind, not RB, so it just goes to show what can be achieved with 120.

Do'h.......you take a 35mm camera with you as well, and on a back pack you don't notice the weight...I know from experience that you don't notice 18lbs walking (and that's quite a lot of 35mm gear), and for my 20 mile bike rides a RB67 plus two lenses and a OM10 is no problem...although my shirt gets a bit wet from sweat.

My daughter caught smiling a few years back
Canon AE-1 Programme with 50mm lens Kodak iso 200 film, this is from the colour negative scanned on an Epson V500

nice wee lass....but a technical question

seen a lot here about the V500 . -- dont understand something.......

if you scan a colour negative [ as you did here]..
does the scanner convert to a positive image on the PC so you can print

ditto - what happens when you scan a 35mm slide....thanks

If the scanner doesn't do it the PP software will invert it.

The scanner will always do it because before you scan you are asked to input the type of film you are scanning.

Colour neg

A couple more from the Lakes a week or so ago

Ilford Delta 400, Perceptol, Canoscan 8800F/Silverfast SEplus

Mark,

These are fantastic really

I seriously like them both but the second one is superb.

I've only rented the word "biblical" for the hour, and there is no second usage option, so for #2 I'm gonna have to go with "proper grand"...

Thanks - got inspired after lookking at Rinko Kawauchi's photos at the Photo Biennial in Brighton.

Guy that is stunning, awesome and choose any 5 other superlatives, definitely one of the best shots I've seen.

Wblati, the Brighton Pier shot is also excellent, it has the feel of impending doom.

Well my V500 arrived today and I have just started scanning the first film that I ever developed :)

These are two images straight from the scanner and reduced from 6200+ to 800 pixels across...

From Ilford B&W Delta 100, Nikon F80, AFS 24-70 f2.8 G

Not actually finished scanning the films in but quite pleased with the results from the scanner. Looking forward to printing a few of these soon.
