Groucho, very good capture - I enjoy the look of that cheapo Kodak Gold - reminds me of Sensia in a way - very red :)

Here's my three best from a bike ride today - C330 on Acros 100, metered with a Minolta XG9, I believe each of these was shot at f/22 and 1/60 or 1/125. Deved in Rodinal 1:100, 18 minutes.

Thanks guys. Yes, used an orange filter. Would have been better with a graduated filter in front of the orange filter...

I like it daring, besides its quicker... L'Eroica next year for sure - just need to chrome up some of the components on my 70's steely a bit for the ride :banana:

I like the look of this film, nice contrast/sharpness but I have never heard of Legacy pro is it a new film? :thinking:

I've found another shot of the Heron that's friendly with a boat owner...I don't think the ducks would go near him with ducklings, also once it was near the hedge on the footpath looking for rats or mice.

Well from what I understand, Legacy pro 100 is Fuji Acros 100 and the 400 is Neopan 400.

mind sound silly, but - it could be just the spool made by fuji :cuckoo: . anyway - 7day shop sells fuji just 50p more than the legacy and I might add - I'm not shocked by the IQ browsing through flickr.

True - out of pure curiosity, I've just compared a sheet of neg's from legacy pro 100 and another of Acros 100. The base film material on the sprocket frames was pretty much identical shade, the frame numbers were the same font and size and the only difference was one had LEG100 the other 100ACROS on it. It may be something completely different, but if a third party have set out to clone ACROS 100 then they've made a DAMNED GOOD JOB of it!
 
I got the first lot of 4 rolls of slides back from the August holidays. I have finally nailed the Velvia exposure; and have discovered that Provia is an absolutely marvellous film. I'll use Provia over velvia once my current stock of velvia is over.

was provia a positive (lazy and can't remember ) ? what is the trick to get it right ?

p.s. checked - positive ! :( . don't like the idea of sending them to london and getting them back after 2 weeks :(

2 weeks? Are you kidding? I send Freepost to Peak on Tuesday, and it was home this morning. :) . And for only 6 quids a roll, developed and mounted

For Provia, exposure is at rated speed.

For Velvia, expose 1/3 stop over for landscape and 2/3 stop over for portrait.
( at least thats what works for my Contax G1 centre weighted meter).

Quite pleased with them for my 1st film in aaaages, Processed at jessops onto CD, £6 and turned round in under half an hour (they were quiet). TTL exposure meter in the camera seems to be doing its job too.

Its the angle of her and the board, they both face out of frame, it makes you want to know who or what she is addressing to the left.
Without being uber critical cos its a nice pic in its own right, the image isn't as strong as one that addresses the viewer/photographer or a 3rd party in frame..:)
 
Thanks Joxby and Javier. I really appreciate the feedback on my shots, helps me immensely. I should have got the shot full frontal. I have another shot, which is more like that. I'll post it up.

Maybe, maybe not. If you make it a thread that's most certainly film orientating (waffling on about film, development and everything else) it may avoid such treatment. That's if the moderators ever come to such an underused section of the forum :p.
