These were taken a couple of years back when I was doing a college course. I'm going out and buying some chemicals tomorrow so I can start deving my own film again.

(I know these are far from perfect but wanted to share some film pics anyway:))

There's something about that delta 400...

Nice ones Liam I think Delta 400 is rapidly becoming my favourite film!

:)

Joxby - I've been experimenting (shooting in the dark - literally and metaphorically!) lately, with long nighttime shots, star trails, that sort of thing. If I get any half as good as this one I'll be dead pleased. Well done.

Not sure i like film, dust galore!, i know there not good images, but just fired random couple of images to find out the camera works before trying to use properly.. used iso 400 film and guessed exposure, 0.5 sec f4 , so underexposed and not enough DOF:)

Thanks guyz:)

I've pretty much got velvia 100f sussed, its not just speed either, my provia 100f night is rubbish, that must be reciprocity failure or I just don't know it well enough..
It was too dark for my meter, I used the force, 8 minutes might be off cos I didn't time it, just felt it.
I shot 2, but the clouds let me down in the second one, too much black in frame, would be better cropped to 645 but that's a waste of 6x6

That first one has potential with a longer exposure.
Try slower film for scapes, ok the exposures are longer but the grain is much finer.
It doesn't matter how long the exposure.....there's no noise..:D

I am partial to the second one. Have you tried bumping the exposer a tad?

I agree - real potential in the 2nd one. Taken on 6X6 presumably?

I don't thin the 2nd one is that far off tbh. I quite like the feel of it.

Just one from me from yesterday. Still only have 2 film holders so limited to 4 shots as Teamwork are being idiots. Managed to forget to stop the lens down on one so it got 1 second at f5.6 instead of f22 and pulled the darkslide on another whilst the lens was still open. Bad day but only the second time I've done this.

I like that Spencer - very nice shot.

Cheers Ced. I'm getting a bit frustrated at the moment as many things keep getting in my way at the moment. Work for one, not having any film over christmas and now the bloody weather at the weekend! Might try some still lifeage today!

How do you do that, forget to focus ?
I'm not taking the ****, seriously, I forget all sorts of things, but I never forgot to focus, its the last thing before the big button.
Maybe you have a catastrophic routine malfunction.....or something ?

LOL. Some lenses for the RB67 need to be focused both on the bellows and separately on the lens barrel for a floating element . I've forgotten that second step more than once, as you don't see any change on the focusing screen even when you've done it. :gag:

But, jox, I am a walking catastrophic routine malfunction :bang:

I really like this image..Allot! Perhaps only a slight bump in contrast, but that would be nit picking. Great image!

Yes, I'm finding it difficult to word what I think about some of ghandi's frames.

they're so......straight, subtly shaded, deep....

striking...

like paintings, but that's usually used to describe a photo that looks less than realistic..

Tell me more about b/w transparencies, rollei made some not long back but I can't find any, slow as a b****r iso25 but a positive b/w processed in ordinary b/w chemicals.
I suppose on a lightbox, they'd look like mini polaroids..

i think they do look vaguely unreal in some sense. i really like this quality in a b&w landscape...
