It's certainly fantastic in 120. A good film is a good film!

Another from, well you guess......

Converted in Topaz b&w Efex, just because I could.

a few more 5x4's from easter. Ilford Delta 100.

Mousehole Harbour. Cropped it to remove lots of empty space at the bottom.

Love 'em. Spent my childhood holidays in Cornwall. They bring back many happy memories. More please.

Love the lizard shot, great tones, great horizon, great sea and a wonderful balance to the composition.

Thanks :) The others i have are much the same just worse composition and people in them. I do have one though that shows you what happens when you forget to put the film slide back in the right way to remind you of an exposure. Clearly a memory card failure ;)

Since it has been a cold and rainy day, I thought it was a good chance to sit down and really play with the scanner I brought a few months ago. I have been going through my old films and scanning in my favourite shots. This was from on of my first ever black and white films, Ilford FP4 - may have to get some more soon

I shouldk have cropped the film border out lol

I seem to have mucked up the developing, there are splotches very visible in the highlights, not sure what I did wrong this time...

This one of the Forth Road Bridge could probably have done with a little more DOF the bridge is pleasantly oof but it wouldn't blow up very far plus you can see the mess I made of the sky much more!

Not sure what has caused the blotches Steveo.....shame as it's a nice capture.

As you say the bridge isn't going anywhere so a reshoot could be on the cards perhaps??

As usual, there is some superb work posted on here....certainly helps to give me the "drive" to get out there shooting.....

Woodsy your LF results have pushed me into motivating myself with my own LF (I was out yesterday evening, first outing with quarter plate in over 6 months!).......Unlikely I could ever reach a similar standard to your work but it was a good feeling to be out "playing " under a darkcloth!

Yeah its a bit irritating but I suppose its one of the risks of shooting film. Might even remember to pack the Velvia next time!

A couple of recent shots from around Liverpool.
Taken with a Hasselblad 501cm and Portra 400.
I think I need more practice with my scanning technique as the prints are a lot better than my scans.
Most of the negs also seem to have a mark on the top left corner so I've sent my next film off to fuji in Leeds for developing to see if they're any better quality.

I thought I'd add a few from the first roll of Agfa Vista through my new Oly mju II; the combination seems to have performed very well!

In this cottage near us, I quite like the way the king and queen heads are looking away from each other!

This is an area where kids have played for generations I think, making cubby holes beneath the trees...

And here's that tree again, at the top of Abbey Fields.

I did manage to provoke a little bit of flare shooting almost directly at the sun, but overall it's a nice pocketable package. It's just so easy to use; I went through a whole roll in just over an hour, I think! Of course, the other side of that is that there's basically no control at all, other than where you point it and when you press...

Looking good Chris! It's a lovely little camera and the flash does a good job with fill-in lighting too.

My first processed image from a negative processed in Divided Pyrocat HD.

Divided Pyrocat HD is used where a strong compensatory development is required. Instead of mixing solutions A & B and then processing, you process in Solution A first and then process in Solution B, the only changes that are made is that a few drops of 'Photoflo' is added to the solution A prior to use. My usual time for standard Pyrocat HD would be 9 minutes, but for divided Pyrocat you process in solution A for 6 minutes and then in solution B for a further 6 minutes.

The amount of detail captured in the windows of the building is amazing considering that the exposure was 4 minutes at f45 on 5x7 inch Adox 25. (I added 2 stops for the Centre Filter on the Schneider 72mm Super Angulon XL and a further stop for reciprocity). Measured exposure was 30 seconds at f45 for ISO 25.

Hey Eddie...didn't understand a word. But it's not helping my new found lust for large format.

Fabulous shot, I can only imagine how good it must be when not web sized.

lol...my thoughts exactly....but love the photo.

Beautiful tones and variations and lovely detail

a few 5x4's from Epping forest yesterday. All the trees are still nude which is a shame, give it a month or so. Slowly starting to get a hang in focusing the thing and had a first stab at the zone system, lots of failures but im quite happy with these ones. Dead trees, so cliche haters look away now ;)

Ilford Delta 100, rodinal 1 shot.

An old shot I just scanned as I have borrowed my Brothers scanner

Just beautiful.

essexash,

I like the reflections and tones of #1 and your #3 looks like the Hockney tree, which sadly is no more, why not send Mr Hockney a photograph, he may like to paint it and you could become famous or is it infamous. :)

What I failed to capture here is just how strong and cold the wind was in this picture..

Whew, how windy has it been in Edinburgh and Glasgow recently? I nearly lost my hair in Edinburgh earlier this afternoon.

To add to the Scottish theme, here's a photo that I took a couple of weeks ago just before the recent windy spell:

I'm loving these recent posts, some great shots folks. I really have to get out into the countryside and do some landscapes.

I've just scanned/edited a selection of shots from 3 films I've shot recently. Bit of a mixed bag but these are my favourites;

1) Kowa 6 - Fuji Acros 100

2) Olympus Mju ii - Agfa APX 100

3) Olympus Mju ii - Agfa APX 100

4) Kowa 6 - Ilford Pan F 50

5) Olympus Mju ii - Aga APX 100 (Taken by Jake my 6 year old son, he's put me to shame!)

6) Mamiya 546 ProTL - T400CN C41 Cross-Processed in Rodinol

I'm still learning the best ways to develop and playing around with C41 cross-processing (because I'm too tight to pay for processing...) Full set of my home developing is HERE

All comments/feedback appreciated.

Cheers
Steve

Well it's taken most of the evening but my Precisa slides are finally scanned and oh my are they pretty! Quietly satisfied with the Boots development but some of the slides were quite mucky and had to be worked on extensively with the spot healing tool in Lightroom. Here are a few:

Seriously considering buying a ten pack of this film for my Amsterdam trip and to hell with the expense of development!

Thanks for looking as always :)
