Now she me yours;)

Good idea. There is a very popular Darkroom Portraits thread on APUG too which is very useful for getting ideas when planning your own darkroom.

I am about to move my darkroom from the loft to the spare bedroom so I will post some pictures when it is done. This is going to be great because at the moment I have to set up the loft ladder, climb up, pull up the ladder, etc. and it's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. The result is that I don't use it as much as I would like. My new room which is just through a door from the landing will get a lot more use.

Steve.

Nice darkroom Kev - Top job you have done there. What with my Lambrettas, superbike, mountain bike and all the other stuff i have my garage is out of bounds. As i live in a new house the lofts in these cant be converted to proper use but i would be interested to see any pics if anyone has gotten around this. I would love a darkroom though

loving the idea - and I had to try real hard not to just post a black pic

will grab a shot when I get to exe next :D

Would love to show you fella's my darkroom, but being a 'film' photographer I have no means of getting an image on here, sorry chaps!

I don't have a wide enough lens to post my darkroom.
Actually, it isn't dark, and its not quite a room yet anyway.
Under construction...

*bangs hammer/saws wood*

Flipping eck Joxby some one has stuck a big hole in your ceiling or has you darkroom now moved floors from the loft to the one below??

Ummm, had to widen it, couldn't get my shoulders through the first one.
And put a new floor down.

Its a big ole, and its not going well, her indoors is non too happy with the big ole and the neighbours a crying buckets cos one mow of the lawn per week is their decibel limit, *quote* I'm gonna get a restraining order against you.

@ restraining order.

It is huge up there though, perfect for a darkroom and all the computer/camera crap cluttering up the hoose...:)

Where's the drawer with your porn collection? Aren't you fellers with darkrooms supposed to have one, like those with a shed on an allotment?

Steve, not really the minority. I know more people that dont have phones than do, must be an age thing!!! I've only got a computer because my son bought one for me.... and I'm still learning how to use it. I'm pleased he did otherwise I wouldn't be here! As for digital photography, doesn't ring my bell at all. Sorry to go off topic chaps.

Nigel.

That seems to have developed nicely

Darkroom

Very jealous, would love to use a DeVere like that! Interesting choice to B&W in the Jobo, just for efficiency or is that your work flow in general?

Like a lot of my generation, a Devere was something you used at college, but could never afford one. I picked it up a couple of years ago from an ex British Aerospace photographer, the 500 head was a nice bonus as well.

Jobo processes everything up to 5x4, 100% consistent results, every time, especially with the expert drum.
The Jobo also does my C-41, so it's used quite a bit.

I used to love the DeVere in college with the base board height and focus adjusters. I've got some days off next week so hopefully I can escape nursery painting duties and go and waste some more paper.
