its an ex Gendarmerie car and as such has the bigger engine with the biggest carb but only has drum brakes!

Its tatty and everyone wonders why I don't restore it, but I like it being tatty, if I wanted one in perfect nick I'd buy one, but then it wouldn't get used!

How true, bet it's fun driving around in it.

Heres mine. Bmw E30 316i with a 1996 (e36) 328i engine - about 194bhp although its getting dynoed next week, LSD, geuine black leather recaros, black leather m3 rear bench, upgraded bushes, upgraded steering rack, blah blah blah you get the idea.

Some beautiful cars & bikes posted so far (esp that V-Max)... My whip is just a Mondeo...

It's a ST200 Saloon Ltd-Ed (only 300 produced) and is my daily commuter.

the other car, really needs time, money and a garage as its just collecting moss and rusting to buggery on my grans drive!
that picture doesnt really show that its a clubman estate painted in russet brown (however its got a gold pearlescent fleck in the paint, just to erm be unusual!) 1275cc MGmetro engine and the usual stage 1 tuning bits (exhaust, carb, inlet etc), 4 pot vented discs, no sound deadening anywhere, recaro bucket seats and minimal carpet, its also got a homemade vinyl interior in it, its also got minilites on it

DSC00081s.jpg

i apologise for the poor picture, its the only image ive got uploaded!!

Is it wrong to really like this? :D :1st: There's something about them that I really like, its much nicer than any of the current fast saloons. It manages to sit nicely between boring Audi/BMW businessman and Chavy Vauxhall. If only it was rwd

Awesome car - the only thing about it i didn't like was the blue 'wood-effect' dash and fascia...ghastly idea...
I really like Mk2 Saloons - a lot...
Mine was dropped even lower on Eibach springs and Koni adjustables...a wee bit stiff, but it stuck to the road...

I used to have an A8 4.2 Quattro but the 8mpg got a bit wearing after a while

i average about 14 - 16 mpg so its not too bad
but when booting it the display goes down to 5 :shake:
i suspect its actually worse than that but thats as low as the instantaneous consumption can be displayed

the S8 is geared lower than the regular A8's as the redline is 1,000rpm higher so we're always pulling more rpm than the non S versions :bonk:

certainly a lot better in the snow than most marques

Click the photo for larger image I think

This used to belong to me....rebuilt her in summer of 2006. Running 5.8 ltr V8

A few points spring to mind here....

1) why is that on an 83 Y-plate? (I have a fair idea...)
2) Do you know what it's worth nowadays? :naughty:
3) How can you even set foot in a Vectra after driving any of the three cars in the pics?
