I agreed with you up till the 60 year old remark. Sorry but what has age got to do with driving like a pillock? Do you somehow become incompetent once you're over 60?
I am 50 and I have noticed many blokes around me that have turned 60 get very defensive in their approach to almost EVERYTHING they encounter that no longer fits their ideal model of....well anything to be honest. They seem to become more agressive and even more territorial, this is most evident in their residence and second only to that their precious piece of tarmac just in front of their car as they move along at 40 mph everywhere they go, including joining motorways. To be honest I can only report my personal experiences with ridiculous driving behaviors and it appears to me what I report is truthful and honest representation of my observations. Of course I cannot tell if the drivers fall in the age group I mention but its not far out. So Yes age does play a part - as people change attitude as they get older.
