Should I lend my camera to a Friend ?

I probably wouldn't unless I was with them all the time or they knew what they were doing.

In all honesty, I don't think most people who are used to p&s will be able to use a slr without auto settings anyways... :thinking:
 
You should ask for a deposit of maybe around £250 for your 30d just incase anything happens to it.
 
I would to most of my friends, but there's a select few who I wouldn't lend 10p to, so I certainly wouldn't let them near my camera!! :D
 
Ok guys thx for advice I dont think it was a daft question, but just worded wrong.
Well in the end I did not lend my camera to my friend .
 
I'm stopping lending mates any of my photography gear. Without fail, it comes back missing something. They're good mates but clearly they don't respect my photography equipment!
 
Years ago my dad lent his film slr to the nextdoor neighbours, it came back broken:(
