SHOULD I DO IT?????

How are you travelling?

Probably be fine - Most of the motorways are clear (been quite nice on the M25 this week, much less traffic than usual) - Just allow more time than usual.

Having said that there was something in the news about Newcastle, HERE ;)

Newcastle is pretty much snowed in once you leave the city amd the midlands are bad, if I were you I wouldnt bother unless its very urgent

The motorways should be fine.. mind you its snowing heavy here now.

Now is the time to do it - Schools are all going to be open on Monday and The week we all wrote off is over!! AND more inclement weather is on its way for Sat and Sun - so get your skates on - Pun intended:lol:

Been on the Mway today M6 and all seems clear - although some speed restrictions are syill in place due to foolish drivers thinking its summer:cuckoo:

unless you are planning on going across the A66 then i cant see you having a problem , allow plenty of time , and , take your time , be prepared , fill the car up with fuel , every chance you get fill the car up with fuel if it it is looking bad so you can keep the engine running to keep you warm , pack the car with blankets and food , sorry , forgot to ask , is it an emergency that you need to get to newcastle for ? , if not , stay put , its not worth the risk ;)

thanx everyone but we decided to do it as have important meetings and live up here mainly!!!
left at 6am n took over 5 hours normally 3-4 was so empty but some parts were fine however some parts were lethal... lost control a few times!!! n saw so many accident :(

newcastle has had loads of snow :) n my place feels like i mite aswell be outside :(

i advise no 1 to travel unless it desperate it gunna get worse :(
