Should I bother doing a blog?

Blood and sand, Trev. With all those photos to post prod, you'll never have time to write anything. And you know what they say, yesterday I couldn't spell engineer now I are one. ;) The blog is fine, not Hemmingway yet. I'd find the pressure of writing a blog overwhelming. On the plus side, you get to choose when you publish an episode. Go for it and we may laugh with you, not at you. Good luck.

Like the writing style.

I think a blog is of interest to readers if you keep it reasonably up to date and interesting otherwise it becomes a poisoned chalice job. Only you can identify if you can afford the time and effort to provide such writings on a regular basis. Good luck

I've found writing (a blog) is just like photography in that you can't write like a pro from the outset. It has to be learnt; what interests people and how to write in such a way that its not flowery but describes what you're trying to get across to the reader in an interesting and entertaining way. It takes time and you (of course) have to have something to write about.

Yours is a good start and with practice it'll be really good, if you have 'stuff' to write about. Keep going. I enjoyed it. One man's grammer is another man's local distinctiveness init!

I started a blog a few years back, but loast motivation and the last few posts were all along the lines of "I'll do a proper post when I get some time", when I redo my site it will go...

Blogs are hard to keep up to date but a are great for people to see your "journey".

I see you are using Joomla. I have some experience of this software including having one "hacked" losing my entire site. I suggest you visit here and have full regular off-site backups of site structure AND database.

I like your writing style Trev, and your description about interaction with the squirrel made me chuckle.

I don't know much about blogs but is there a way that would take you to the latest page as it is updated, rather than starting at the first entry and having to work through?

Cheers.. will have a good read of that when I get home.
Grr tis hard to stay 1.5 native though as some great components not ready for 1.5 yet.

Not a bog fan of keeping blogs...I think it is a great read for yourself and friends. But do your clients really want to know that much about how you got that 'great shot'..

But as for keeping it for friends and people who know you, to go and have a read and see what you are up to. FOr that purpose I think it is nice... if you can spare the time!
And I suppose people who are good at taking photos.. it is nice to read something and learn from them..

So, if you have time and enthusiasm... go for it...
