Divorce or bankrupcy-mmmm are they not two sides of the same coin LOL
Earlier today, my wife of almost 25 years refered to my new 70-200L f2.8 as the "horrible beige thing" Is that grounds for divorce? Am I with the wrong woman?
My husband first noticed my exact same lens the other day (Ive had it for about 2 months!!) "What the hell is that?" he said!!
I think Canon should keep their lenses black so our other halves don't notice we have bought something new!!![]()

Hope you have signed a pre-nup?![]()
Which won't do him any good in this country, they are not enforceable.
There is another way to look at this....I think Canon should keep their lenses black so our other halves don't notice we have bought something new!!![]()

Twenty five years, that's more than a life sentence, you don't get that for murder these days, after being married myself for more than forty years, I've realized there's a good reason the bride wears white, and the groom black !!
There is another way to look at this....
<SNIP>? As someone else put it to me: "She [his wife] only ever sees one big white lens at a time. Therefore there is only one big white lens."

They will be soon though, the law is changing.![]()

She couldn't work out what to get me for our 10th anniversary so I gave her a solution....Sorry, but no Canon was originally Kwananon the Shinto god of light and dawn and was changed to Canon to make it more acceptable to western ears. Nikon was originally Nippon Kaggaku that just means Japanese cameras.Your wife sounds like a woman with excelllent taste in lenses!
Obviously, it should have the letters "VR" instead of "L", be black, and have a tasteful plate, lovingly embossed with the word "Nikon".
Nikon of course being the ancient Greek God of Imaging Devices. The petulent upstart Canon is of course only the sub-god of photocopiers![]()
