Well it was only for boring old tennis, I doubt he was that upset.
I wonder if Stefano D'aste got an invite, he could have got away with wearing his race suit.

I've noticed this year particularly that Wimbledon seem to have tightened up on the dress code for players and spectators. I remember past players wearing much more colour on court, Borg always wore a blue striped top for example. I'm sure it also used to be referred to as the 'mens singles' not the pretentious 'gentlemans singles' of this year.

This year (with the possible exception of a couple of matches) was the most boring competition I can remember watching IMO.
 
Mind you, it makes you wonder how big the Royal Box is and how many strings get pulled for an invite there. :thinking:

You can remove them once seated.
 
How does Murray's coach (I know her name but I can't face spelling it) get away with that ridiculous T-shirt? The one that says "make your own luck" or something? I would have thought slogan T-shirts were the first thing to be banned.

ETA: by "Murray" I mean Andy Murray who failed to get into the final. Not his far less talented brother who, you know, did.

I don't know. Because anything other than Wimbledon isn't proper tennis. So it's 1 each ;)

You can dislike him all you like.
But to say he's not talented, when you are well aware of the stats, is just daft.

I think you may be misunderstanding. Andy Murray is ridiculously talented and a very entertaining player to watch. I just find it odd that the press tend to ignore his brother who until recently had more Wimbledon wins and also made it to the final this year - in fact most of them didn't even mention it. I imagine it being slightly awkward at the Christmas dinner table.
