Should every camera bag contain a 50mm?

Except for the 1.8's EXTREMELY flimsy appearance I would love to have one again, sold mine in favour of 1.4 and not sorry at all but nifty such wonderful bang for buck:thumbs:
 
I love the nifty fifty, in fact it's made me dislike zoom lenses.

I wish I'd read that years ago before I bought a nifty.
I know I have one somewhere around the house. :thinking:

It was a good buy for me.
I saw it in Jessops and thought, "What the hell".
It turned out I was their zillionth customer or something daft and got £100 worth of gear. :D

I think I had a go at macro with it, using tubes.
Did a pretty decent job but not much working distance.

It's good value for money if you think you'll need a cheap fast lens.
