Short Trip To London

Living in a small town in the westcountry and having a long break before returning back to work I decided to spend a few days up in the big city where the photography options are much greater.

I don't do street as often as I would like too and on this trip I found it particularly difficult. Maybe it was due to the very large crowds in comparison to my other visits and I still lack the confidence in photographing people. When I take pictures of people I am more drawn to colourful characters rather than the mundane and on this visit they were harder to pick out.

So this selection is maybe not so much classed as street photography in it's pure sense but there are a few I am happy with.

Thanks. I've been outside the Gherkin many times but it was one of those ones where I walked around a side street and it just jumped out at me.

Thank you. I struggled most of the week in getting "true street shots" but I think my two strongest images are the shadow on Millennium Bridge and the Gherkin one.
