I have a short stopover in Hong Kong later this year, and was wondering if photography goods, specifically Fuji lenses, were any cheaper in HK and if anyone could point me at a reputable store.

Pm me mate, I use 1 particular one and go back Year in , year out.

Others show a camera in the window, give you a price then send a runner for the stock which with a lot of the shops is a central warehouse.
I did a deal for a 5d mk3 in one and waited 90 minutes for the runner to come back but left as it dragged on.

The shop I use carries the stock.
Cheers
Dave

Don`t know much about this but if bringing back to UK, customs if they stop you may be interested in boxed kit and may ask for receipt. Worst case you will have to pay vat (import duty? note the question mark) and guarantee would not be UK I assume?

Last time I brought back from Australia I simply flattened the box. I had been using the lens in Oz.

Harbour city is waaaaaaaaaay too expensive. Visit by all means but avoid spending like the plague.
Cheaper less than 300 yards away from there.

Lose the box if the price is good enough?
I think you'll find that encouraging people to commit fraud is against the forum rules. Just saying.

Do not shop on Nathan Road, bunch of sharks. You won't get any real bargains but Fortress is quite good.

I go to Hong Kong a lot, never bought any camera gear because when taken into account the risk, the savings and buying online from places such as Panamoz. It's hardly any different.

I wouldn't buy from one of those small Indy from Nathan Road for example, I picked the one in Harbour City because they are reputable and then I looked at a 5D4, it was the same as Panamoz prices so was not extortionate at all.
