At the moment I often shoot into lightroom on my laptop but the laptop is slow and the screen is rubbish compared to my ipad. This method works ok for "table top" stuff but it's too slow to consider for portraits.

Here's what I'm thinking I would like to do.

If I set my D7000 to store RAW in slot one and Jpeg in slot 2. Fit a wifi card in slot 2 and somehow teather this to my ipad, the Jpegs (being smaller) would be for review only, I will take the raw from slot 1 for final processing.

Is anyone else doing this or similar and can I have some advice on which card to buy, what apps to use etc. Please?

Cheers,

B.

I have done that with the EyeFi Card, I think it was an 8GB. Direct to my Ipad and it also auto loaded to my Eyefi Cloud account. Had to sell it as my camera has only CF cards no SD..........I sometimes miss it.

Thanks, did they come up quite quickly or was there a delay?

There is a delay obviously but it's acceptable. I would guess they are faster now as it's about 3-4 years since I had mine and technology advances as they say.
I did try another brand but the range was poorer.
