Shocker - Sony camera is good

Sony make damn good video cameras and have some damn good sensors for video so can imagine the DSLRs would have a very high starting point :) I have seen a few places suggesting this could be a cracking camera. Will be interesting to see!
 
I wonder why the reviewer felt the need to compare it to the 20D rather than the current model :thinking:

I found that strange as well. Possibly that's the camera he normally uses.

Not really if you consider its mitochondrial DNA: Minolta!

I used Minolta SLRs for 20 years. Still got one. A 9Xi. With excellent lenses. I'm waiting for that full-frame dSLR to stick 'm onto!
 
Sony make the sensor for the D300/200 so they must be pretty good.
 
And the D40x...


I heard that the Sensors used in the new Nikons are sonys first proper attempt at a decent sensor and they seem to be awesome in the Nikons, imagine how good they will be in a few years!
 
Nice camera shame about the price, price af accessories, price of new lenses and lack of availability of 3rd party lenses.
 
All this choice has got to be good for us, the users, in the relatively near future. The more good cameras coming out, the merrier as far as I'm concerned. :thumbs:

Fully agree with that comment Dod. The more competition there is out there, the better. I've just purchased the new Olympus E-3 and it knocks the spots of some of the competition at similar price.

I use a sony a100 and all my accessories and lens' are old minolta all work great with the a100. Managed to get it all of ebay for good prices
