That really is a narrow kitchen Martin, ours is a galley kitchen but definitely nowhere near as narrow.

The main bedroom is almost as bad, one has to walk sideways to get between the open door and the end of the bed. The spare bedroom (which is my music and computer room) has never had a bed in it but we measured it up and found that before you put a single bed in there you would have to decide whether you wanted the door fully open or mostly closed because once it was in you couldn't change your mind. As I said above though, we do have a huge garden. We like it here though.

Nicely done for the theme Martin and suitability different to all the rest this week.

Broken daffodils. Looks like some of the non-broken ones are looking on in sympathy perhaps.

2 strong images Martin.

Daffs lovely and colourful and bright, great bokeh and light in the BG.

The diary is really interesting too. Love the pen, and the handwriting. Interesting as you want to read, but feel you shouldn't, and the (no offense) writing isn't the easiest to read, with the pen obscuring some words too.

Good work.

Yes, sometimes I have trouble reading my own writing. If I write very slowly it's really rather neat, especially, for some reason, if I write with a pencil, however I always speed up and it gets a bit scrawly.

If I minded you reading it, I wouldn't have posted it (it's also why the picture only shows the top half of the page ;))

Nice idea with the daffs. Mine are all over the shop too!
The diary shot is excellent, both in terms of interpretation of the theme and the execution with the added tech.

Broken - nice creative composition and good choice of dof.
Full - well done to you for keeping up with it.. I've often started but...

Diary shot is a great take on the theme :)

Started the diary on January 28th 2020 when I realised how little of my life I really remember in any sort of detail and wondered what things I would have been able to read about had I kept a diary all my life (as some do). It has already reminded me of quite a few little things I had forgotten and I'm glad I started doing it. It's only a synopsis of each day and amounts merely to a few snippets of things that happened both personally and on the world stage. If anything is really interesting, which is not often, I'll run over a couple of pages, which is why I don't use an actual daily diary anymore but just a note book with the day of the week at the top to which I add the date. I was lucky (?) that I'd stated keeping the diary just as COVID took off as it has been an interesting record of the rise and [for now] fall of the disease.

Pattern: My finger print.

In a similar image, I accidentally pressed a couple of buttons on my camera and it did a 'colour outline' job on it and this was the result; I quite liked it.

Thank you. A simple LED desk light provided illumination.

Morale here is, never do close-ups of your own body, you may not like what you see :(.

Pattern is great, fantastic detail and the black BG sets it off really well.

Tunnel also really strong. The light in the eye and the black surround draws or the detail in the eye. Spot on focus and perfect focus.

Was the circle of light on the eye caught in camera or in editing?

Tunnel is a really strong image you have nailed the focus good image for the theme.

Thanks for commenting. No editing apart from the usual exposure adjustments and the addition of a vignette.

Thanks. Had to do it just by pointing at my face while holding the camera at arms length and hoping for the best. Only took me three shots to get it lined up properly so I was quite pleased.

Wish I thought of the patterns, it would have saved me a lot of walking.

Body part weeks?
Pattern - I love the mono version - almost looks like a beach/sand shot.
Tunnel - cracking shot, excellent detail and texture.

Spring lambs

I have put a closer, and slightly different, image on the DPOTY thread for the [April] Rural category. I would have used it here too but felt it portrayed Rural rather than Spring.

Lambs just say spring.., I had just missed their 'springing' play this year.

I like they way you caught them both looking at you.

Two good shots Martin, I particularly like the Snapper's Choice shot with the ruins showing softly in the background.

Like the smooth shot, different pov to the norm- dont know where it was taken but shouts of England spring/summer to me.

Snapper‘s choice good contrast between the ruin in the mist and detail in the foreground
