nothing to lose in my eyes, good move for Shearer, he can try to save us and if it goes tits up then Ashley will get the blame andyway

the one thing he will do though is bring the players together and give us the fight we need
 
I don't think he can save the Toon they are doomed for this season:'(
But if he stays on for next season and cuts his teeth in the championship then we may just get a decent manager out of it.

Whitey your right no matter what happens the cockney mifia are going to get the blame and not the layabouts that run out on to the pitch every week.
