Good to see companies sticking by their way and not taking the easy way out by killing their animations with CGI. I've always been a fan of Aardman so I for one will be going to see it at the cinema...for "my kids"

Yeah, but your kids are 20 and 24

I don't blame you, I've always been a fan too and am sure their animations, (especially Wallace and Gromit), will be seen and enjoyed for very many years to come, they're so well made and observed. (y)

Actually I'm 26 and my kids are 4 and 5 :D I should still be allowed right? haha

Indeed. They must have a lot of patience. Not only is it stop motion animation all taken with a DSLR but they have to set everything up for each scene including the characters and equipment. Also afterwards they have to go back and edit each shot because a lot of rigs are used if there's characters jumping or things in mid air. So some times that's two exposures for the one frame and they probably do 24frames per second. I'll not bother doing the maths for an episode lol

Oh, then yes.
At 26 you still qualify for a concession I think :(

I think my son, 3 1/2, is going with his dad to see it. He sat through the whole of Paddington at the cinema so hopefully he'll be the same with this. I'd like to go too but there's no way our 18 month old would sit through it.

It got great reviews on Film 2015.... there's no dialogue, apparently,

I'd love to take my daughters but, as they're 24 & 27, perhaps they can take me ;)

I too love Aardman, especially Wallace and Gromit. Spent the summer of 2013 shooting 80 Gromits around Bristol :D

No.

No no no.

You have GOT to explain that

I think there were a lot of arty installations featuring Wallace and Grommit around the city IIRC :)

^^^ as above, 80 giant gromits all dotted around Bristol, I decided because Flickr was full of them in full size I did macro shots of the detail on all of them.
Sorry for the late reply...im away on holiday at the mo, will post some pics on my return :)
