I am having a problem with sharpening and previewing photos in a printing service ROES.

I have used both SAMs lab and Loxley and each time I load a sharpened photo into the preview the photo quality becomes terrible. I don't want to order prints and end up with them looking like they do in the preview window.

I have tried my normal sharpening methods using both Nik sharpener and the highpass filter and both have the same effect.

The strange thing is that not all shots look like it in the preview window.

Should i just get them printed and see what happens.

Anyone out there using Nik sharpener pro could give me some tips as to which settings to use that would be great.

David, I think it is from Sam's uses this forum (snapping Sam?) so i GUESS HE'LL BE ABLE TO HELP.
I've tried them out with some snapshots the other day and the interface and prints were xlnt. Ooops caps lock! Running late......

I've noticed this with Loxley and Sam's roes. I assume the on screen interface uses some kind of p poor compresion to display in ROES. The actual images come back fine as per the underlying files I send when completeing the order

If you have a word with David from Sams he is usually happy for you to send a couple of test prints over to check for any problems like this - I've been impressed with his service.

I've seen this a few times with Roes. The prints come back fine though so I've learned to ignore it :)
