I took a few cameras with me to New York a little while back.

Minolta X-500 and Ricoh FF-A3 being film only. I also had a Sony A7i and used it with the Minolta lenses.

These were from the Minolta... plus either a 24/2.8 or a 35-70/3.5 as they were the only lenses I took. Ilford XP2.

A couple from this week's Dartmoor Photowalk, Bronica SQ-B with 6x45 back loaded with Provia 100F (tbh I don't think it handled the conditions too well (a bit blue/green) but that might be the scanning, I haven't got the slides back yet to check).

@FishyFish . Thanks, great to be able to compare the digi set up with the outcome. Do you use a yellow filter? (Just looking at the cloud rendition, not criticising). Also Delta 100 in LF, my wallet is crying from here!

No, no filters used. I did have a yellow filter, but it was a cheap one and I found it was causing distortion on the images (plus it wouldn't have fit on this lens anyway). I might invest in a set of Cokin B&W filters at some point though.

The Delta wasn't too expensive - a bit more than FP4+ and HP5+, but I got it for a reasonable price (it was around £50 for 25 sheets).

One of my favourite locations - I absolutely love Munich, from the moment I started living there 21 years ago. Folks should recognise the 'pepperpots' of the Frauenkirche. My all time favourite drinking place is about 100 yards away from this spot, Augustiner am Dom which serves great pints of Helles and Edelstoff.

Unlike the other 2 shots above, this was taken on 2004 vintage Arcros film rated at ISO 64 in a Z-1p and F50/1.7. Kew Gardens. Marc Quinn exhibition ongoing, mostly shiny stuff but this was a deep crimson colour which 'shines' in appalling conditions...

Well just something amusing, went for another shoot of London using my 300mm Canon, with 2xs extender and polariser, also just for testing old FD 28mm and Hoya 135mm...erm the Hoya wouldn't fit onto the Canon WTF although kept amongst my other Canon lenses, back home found out it was for my Contax
The visibility was E according to the met office but don't think it possible to get a clear shot of the City of London from 13miles away as polution ruins the shot, switching away from London and distance was very clear. When I eventually get the film dev will post if any good.

We had snow on Dartmoor this week so I took my Bronica SQ-B out loaded with Portra 160, unfortunately I went a day later (Wed) and my scans aren't back yet but I did copy each composition with a digital camera just in case. I'll post the film shots when I get them but for this post it is the digital dupes.

Brrr...........looks cold Paul, but nice images; like No1 lots (y)
Thanks Fraser, actually it wasn't as cold as I thought it would be and by the time I was on the return leg oa the 5 mile walk most of the snow on the South facing slopes was melted away.

These are the Tors featured in shot 2 about 4 hours later (digital shot with Fuji X-T2).

I had 2 Dartmoor Photowalks with film rcently one roll of Portra 160 covered both walks as there weren't a great deal of compositions that suited the square aspect ratio of my Bronica SQ-B.

From the first walk, Great Mis Tor and Over Tor.

I also just want to say about the above pics...

I was taking one of the shots of my mates and some woman in the crowd pointed at the camera and said something along the lines of

"Oh my god, look at that camera, What on earth are you using that for, it's ancient."

I laughed it off to begin with saying "Oh, I'm just a hipster w****r and like to use film"

I would have left it at that, but she kept on and on about it.

I kept brushing it off, so in the end, my missus stepped in and said:

"He's using it because it used to belong to my Dad - who’s now dead. He takes it with him now as a way of still involving my Dad in the creation of new memories."

Funnily enough, she shut up really quickly after that and her husband came over and apologised. Then they moved off pretty sharpish and she looked very sheepish as she walked off.

That reminds me of a scene Dave Whenham from Elland (https://davewhenhamphotography.wordpress.com/) has photographed a few times (I don't think it was from Elland though). I've got a feeling he also said there was a famous photo of this ramp...

I asked Dave with a link to your post, and he replied "Hi Chris, it’s The Snicket, 1937 by Bill Brandt that you refer to. It’s in Halifax. I suspect by the winking emoji that the original poster might be teasing though.:)"

Definitely fell for it!

Those that have waited with bated breath for the Tokina 17mm lens test....I have finally got the film developed, it looks like I have a VG copy and it looks sharper than my Canon 20mm erm well in these distant shots maybe the 20mm needs a bit more contast? From filmev and not sharpened o_O
Tokina !7mm probably about f8
