Shadow / Highlight tool

[Keltic Ice Man]

Is there a way of using the Shadow / Highlight tool (Image | Adjustments| shadow Highlight) in CS2 without damaging the actual pic, as in is there a way of doing it on a layer?

Hi Matty - the Shadow Highlight don't seem to be on the Layer | New Adjustment Layer - all the other things like levels, filters grad maps etc are, just no shadow highlight?

drag the original layer onto the make new layer tool which is the icon that looks like a little page at the bottom of the layers pallette and you will have a duplicate layer to work with. Then go to image/adjust/shadow/highlight and do your stuff...
