Severn Bore's 52 for 2016

Great idea for the Topical theme, sometimes Photoshop is needed to create the image but its the imagination that counts the most.. The Living wold is a good image and perfect for the theme, new life sprouting into the world. Sharp and nicely exposed

Nice sharp and vibrant, bang on theme, very nice Andrew

Well put together image for topical ! Love it. The vibrant image for living world is a great shot too. Nice vivid colours and the tight dof makes for a delightful shot!!

Living World, pity about the shadow on the RH part of the plant, however, nice vibrant greens and the side lighting has resulted in some nice shadow detail.

Cheers.

Definitely something coming to life there. Lovely colour.

Camo - different and not the most camouflaged of birds (in your rendition) but clever and well executed :)

Danger - Lovely vivid colours, nice composition and capture and interpretation of the theme

Topical - ha ha great interpretation and a clever portrayal - love the movement on the coin !

The Living World - really like the DOF and the soft green shoots against the very sharp (in both senses) thorns on the branch, well done

Definetely on theme and could also work for this weeks theme! :)

Nice shot. You could have used the same shot for "dangerous", "the living world", and "spiky" :)

Loving the falling pound image. Very nicely done.

The living world....Look like spring in sprung!! (Would work for Spiky too!)

very nice, bright living world pic as stated above also very spiky

Abandoned - good choice for the theme
Camouflage - an interesting bit of processing and a fun idea
Danger - Nice bright colours and right on theme
Topical - clever bit of processing perfect for the theme good detail on the coin.
Living World - good Dof would work for spiky too

Difficult. I like the fact that you have more of the posts in focus in #1. but the background in #2 is far less busy (albeit that I think you can make out it's a bridge).
On balance, #2...

Hi Tim,
My, you are on the ball! Thanks for your comment. Both photos had a similar background,; sorry to say that neither involved a bridge but a jumble of field, new fence bars and receding brambly hedges . All a bit of a mess and difficult to get rid of with the apertures I needed.

Hmm! Very difficult to choose between the two ... but I think |1 edges it for me mainly because of that wrap around ivy. Love the DoF in both - excellent choice for the theme.

#2 for me, I think the OOF background emphasises the centre spike and I like the bit of ivy around the rail.

I prefer #2, it stands out from the background more. But you had the perfect 'spiky' shot last week :)

Spiky- two similar shots both very spiky I think the first one just pips it for me

Nice textures in spiky, the first one for me too Andrew :)

Oh well, that's another idea down the pan. Nice idea Andrew and nicely taken. Love the colour and the reflections on the shade.

Nice simple composition and I love to cold blue tones.

Nice clean composition and great colours.

Andrew, liking your Artificial image, perfect.

Really liking the simplicity of this one Andrew, Good exposure and some nice colours

A toothbrush is definitely Personal so spot on theme ... although pink ?!? Nice composition with that angled view and reflection.

Nothing wrong with Pink / Orange tooth brushes Carl. Being a Dad means you get left with whatever is left in the packet that no one else wants!
Spot on theme, nicely sharp at the business end. Good strong plain grey background reflected in the mirror (it would be so easy to have a distracting background reflected).
