Severe lowering of suspension?

i think a lot of them just do it for the sound it makes. .

Fed up with aftermarket exhausts never lasting as long as the original makers exhaust I decided on having a custom stainless steel exhaust made for the first replacement of my last car. On enquiring about having one made the first thing I was asked was how loud did I want It!! "how loud" I repeated! I said "I am wanting a silencer made":D

ah the old induction kit discussion.. personally i wouldnt bother fitting one that wasnt enclosed in a cold air feed (like so - http://www.flickr.com/photos/neilgates/3643151877/in/set-72157619903991283). that is more beneficial than an open filter in the back of the engine bay sucking in hot air.

and the best exhaust is one tuned to the correct backpressures. not just one of those dustbin backboxes..

I used to have K&N pancake filters, with no cold air feed, on my old Cortinas, Capri and mk1 Fiesta all carburettors, none of this fancy fuel injection stuff. Certainly made the engines alot more lively and would wheels spin with the slightest of provocation too. My Mk3 Cortinas would go through void bushes every three months.
Not all cars require an exhaust tuned to correct back pressure. Diesels don't rely on back pressure.

"Yea bro, when I get some money, I'm gonna run my car soooo god-damn low the axles will be on the fricken roofrack!"

"Sweeeeeet, bro!"

"Yea, bro. Sweet as."

*high five*

Sure you don't need cold air but it's a good idea if your want performance and better running etc.

Good point about diesels, straight through pipes ftw there lol

speaking of diesels, have you seen those youtube vids of people putting DUMP valves on them... urgh :cuckoo: lol

Mine makes more than enough noise when changing gear with the turbo spooling down. My wife hates it.
