Hi from SW London everyone, just thought I'd do ye olde introduction post before I start spamming the forum with inane questions that have been asked a million times before
I've been lurking around the forums for a few weeks and thought I'd make my presence official. Be gentle, n00b tog passing
Should anyone give a monkey's, I started photography when my dad started developing B&W photos in our attic. Ahh there's nothing quite like the smell of dangerous chemicals in a room so small you have to breathe in to pass each other and so dark you can barely see yourself
I did a bit of photography at Uni as it was part of my arty farty course, digital was still just about unheard of back then, but now I am the proud owner of a 400D and am just getting to grips with it and the 75-300 zoom lens I probably shouldn't have bought with it (can you say 'camera shake'?).
I'm looking to get quite serious and dirty with DSLRs hence venturing here from the wilds of Google to be confronted with threads with barely penetrable acronyms and terminology, but I'm beginning to get the hang of things. Lens faces towards the target, right?
Anyway, I look forward to debating the virtues of Canon VS Nikon with you until the wee hours on many an occasion, and perhaps even acknowledging there are other manufacturers occasionally to keep the minorities happy
I think I'm going to quite like it here. Hmm, maybe I should pretend to be female to get more friends. Anyone need a tog for their wedding? :E
