Hello

I am brand new to the game, and don't have a clue about photography :shake:

I'm wanting to know what all the settings on my Canon 450D do - please be kind, i'm new :(

So, what is:

ISO?
AV?
TV?
The setting that changed from like 1/100 to 1/50 and then into 3" or something....

What are the best settings for vivid colours to show up in the photos?

What should i be doing to get motion blur photos like brake likes on a moving car?

Any help is appreciated :D

Cheers TP!!!

I have the 500D so pretty much the same buttons and knobs...

A basic description of what I use the camera for...

AV - the smaller the number the narrower the Depth Of Field (more blurred background, less in focus), the larger the number less blurring and more in focus...

TV - Sports and blurring the moving cars, speeds from 1/200 down should give you some blur depending on how you pan (follow the car with the camera).

Manual when neither of those two are quite right mix and match to get the required effect...

hi i have just brought a 450D i have been used to a konika minolta 7D
the cannon feals like a feather compaired to the 7D i have had to buy a battery grip for the cannon to give it some pudding, its that light by its self i can't hold it steady
have not tried it out properly yet not had time ,but it is a bit stange i keep trying to access things the way i'm used to on the older cammera, so you are not completely alone on that score.:help:
