Setting up my first website - help

I'd like to setup my own webiste so I can host shots I've taken. Mainly motorsport, covering trackdays and 1/4 mile events for a few clubs I belong to.

Looking for a gallery/slideshow which is easy to configure and navigate.

Any help is greatly appreciated

I'm currently using Simpleviewer on my site, as it works and does what i need, however i hate Flash with a passion, so am looking into doing something in JavaScript soon.

I am currently playing around with http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/

Its java based and seems quite good so far!

I was using a Lightbox derivative from Jalbum and then Internet Explorer 8 was released and it stopped working. Had to re-engineer the web pages to get it working again with a newer version of the slideshow software.

Another alternative is using Cooliris. You have to put a link to the software in the header of your web page and an RSS of your gallery (can get one of these generated with the free Jalbum software. There's no software to host on your web site and if the viewer wants to they can install a 3D version of the Coolirsi software as a plugin for their browser and you get a pretty impressive 3D wall of thumbnails.
