Hello,

I am at a point where i would like to get a gallery in place so that i can start to populate it with images over the next few months.

I have opted to use Joomla, great piece of free kit that i have used before.

I have already started to adapt my template.

Now the advice i need is on a gallery option for the front page. i have looked at Slideshow pro, which is causing me headaches trying to to get it work within Joomla.

So i wondered if anyone could suggest any alternatives that would give me the same look and fell of the Slideshow Pro product.

Any advice would be great, thanks

What sort of headaches are you getting with it? SSP as a plug-in to Joomla sometimes seems to have issues with internet explorer but works fine with firefox/chrome.

Can you get it going at all?

Also, are you looking for a gallery software with slideshow facilities or are you wanting a slideshow plug-in just for your front page?

headaches are that all the files are there ready to go, but when you load the site the flash file doesnt load although their is a place holder of the correct dimensions there. so i must be reading the xml files correctly to set this.

I have found an alternative method using another plugin i found, which runs slideshow pro, but seems limited on the customisation of SSPand i would need to purchase SSP standalone to remove copyright message, annoying as i have already purchased SSP for flash.

Still playing around with ideas for the site so not sure what end result i am after at the moment.

cheers

I've just built (or more truthfully am finishing building) a site with SSP. I'm far from an expert but message me if you need some help.
