So the Bank Holiday weekend is quickly approaching, my plans have been shot down and I am now free to do as I please.

I finish work at 16:30 on Friday and don't have to be back until 22:00ish Monday....

I have £50 to do as I please with...

I can sort food outside of this budget....I can sleep in my car....

I need inspiration...what can I do....would anyone like to recommend? or possibly set a challenge?

£50 will get me just over 400 odd miles in my car..

Random I know but it seems exciting!

O and if age is a factor i'm early 20's...

Well one of my mates has just dropped out of going to Bulgaria for a week starting 27th for 7 days!!!!

Think the name change fee on the tickets is about £50 :lol:

If you come to Bulgaria it's not a problem you will have to deal with for at least another week :lol:

trouble is those kind of adventures normally mean losing the camera...
 
Drive down to dover, foot passenger to france on the ferry sleep out one night, great adventure!
 
Pick one lens, drive for 200 miles all on A roads stopping every 20 miles photo documenting your journey. Turn around and come home a different way altogether repeating the same stop every 20 miles :)

Loving some of the suggestions coming up here. the Cocaine one sounds the most realistic one lol.

Will have a think tonight about where we could go. Bit busy at work and its a nightmare to surf the net lol.

AJ, one of the guys here has got a Motocross event he's competing on during Saturday and Sunday, its in swindon (150miles from you I think). There's an option, unless you don't fancy a motorsport even of course.

Or there's the Mercedes World just the other side of london that’s meant to be really good. Every single merc ever made is in there.

Gonna have a look around at more stuff later.
 
my challange to you is ......... 24 pictures of diffrent bridges in 24 hours, one bridge for each hour of the day......
 
Well one of my friends is organising a massive picnic in Cambridge on Sunday, you're welcome to come to that.

Otherwise, I tried randomly for charity to get to the Taj Mahal and back in the 3 days with no prior planning for free! I got as far as heathrow without too much issue but then no ******* would give me a flight :( I did also blag my way to france once on an adventure as a foot passenger... Maybe you should try something like that, get to Paris or Edinburgh all for free and give the money to charity. Document it as you go...
 
Spend £45 on half ounce of skunk, the other £5 on a few multipack bags of crisps, smoke the lot with a few of your mates and then take photo's of the atmosphere an hour later. :lol: :thumbs:

Bad news last night......my cam belt needs doing and I hadn't realised....its getting on for 2k over when it should have been done so I don't really wanna risk it.....DAMN!

Looks like my weekend may be spent looking for a new car.....

Drugs input has been rife here....impressive...

Damn! Get it done then mate and quickly, had them go on me and it's expensive :( Why not drop the £50 on parts, set the 24-70 on a tripod and get us some shots of you changing the belt :)

Yeah don't. Fuel, servicing [and sometimes tax] is more expensive than petrol. I would look at either a 1.4 petrol or at a pinch a 1.4TD unless you do a lot of miles.
 
£50 down in your local red light area would get you a couple of 'models'...

diesel road tax is almost always a lot cheaper that petrol road tax. emissions are less so tax is less.

i'm looking at getting rid of my petrol car and getting a diesel. i just cant afford 300 miles on 70 quid of petrol anymore
 
I agree with ^^^. I used to drive at 85mph on the motorway, I am now down to 70mph just to try to conserve fuel as I do 100 mile round trip to work daily, and my pocket is really noticing it at the moment.

My car tax is £30 a year and I AVERAGE 71.5 mpg.

Going from an MR2 and driving like a prat to a diesel and driving like a old man is saving me a fortune.
