Hi All,
I know i'm a forum newbie & haven't made much of an effort with involvement as yet, but in my defence do agricultural work & hopefully you can understand it's a pretty busy time of year.
So any way to the reason I'm posting this thread, is i'm a bit of a petrol head & over the last couple of days have been following intently as have probably now thousands of people, a thread on a Subaru owners forum scoobynet, which was brought to my attention via my bmw car forum & has now gone viral across the petrol head community.
see below for a link, to what i'm sure you will find is a very sad & touching story & in a way very uplifting in the kindness of human nature & love & support that can be shown by complete strangers.
It is a long read in the thread contained in this link, but the gist of it is a Father has posted asking if people would attend a car gathering in W Yorkshire, as his son is mad on cars & in his last few weeks of illness & may not survive too much longer, & the response has been over whelming, like I said it has now gone viral, they have had to change the venue several times now & the last time I read has got to the point of holding several meets across the country on the same day (8th Sep) & this is were I thought it may be of interest to forum members on TP, it has been mentioned because for obvious reasons, the little boy Connor & his family can't be in all places @ one time, if the events could be filmed & or photographed to be shown to Connor & as a lasting memory for his family.
I would like to point out, i'm not connected to the family nor do I even know them, i've just been touched by this very sad & moving story, & would like to try & do all I can to help no matter how small.
But please also note, no one is asking for money or donations, just people to care, & make this little boys day a very special one. I apologise in advance if this is a repost & your all already aware, but please check out link to get up to speed as things are moving very fast because of the urgency & could all change.
