It was a lovely morning so I decided to go to a different park this morning, not a park I normally go to. I took my little compact with a 20X zoom, and I took a photo of the park entrance gates far in the distance. Got home later in the morning, and I did a bit of pixel peeping, I spotted my brother in the photo, and he was crossing the road obviously making his way to the park. Not only did I have no idea it was my brother, I did not even notice anyone in the shot, mind you I was looking at the LCD screen at the time :)

Anyone else get any good Serendipity photos?

I was concentrating on getting the cornering tram against the background. Only when editing the photo later did I notice that I'd photographed a drunk girl trying to grab on to the outside of the tram at a door for a ride. Other photographs in the sequence made it clear she & her friend had been drinking.

I'm not sure whether it was serendipity or calculated but the kitten on the right was just in the process of escaping from our postlady's grip. As soon as the shutter closed, he fell through the open window, into my wife's lap and remained there on and off for the next twenty years...

Good unintentional catch, looks like the driver has spotted her. What an idiot though ....

Where are we looking, in the reflection of the mirror or has the cat not yet fallen?

Are the Edinburgh trams working now? The last time I was in Edinburgh it looked like they had given up work on them.

I think he means the precarious looking kitten in the lady's arms fell into the car right after the picture was taken....and never left

Had it work the other way! I was looking at Google Earth a couple of years back, specifically, checking out photos of places we like in Crete. Found Mrs Nod and myself at a bar in one of them!

I tend to look away when I see Google and other video vehicles, trouble is if you have seen them then they have more than likely already captured your face :)

I stood outside taking pictures of the Google car capturing our road.
The driver didn't like that! He didn't like that at all :D

Photographers like taking photos, but having theirs taken ;)

Sorry, I meant I was clicking on the camera icons which link to photos on Panormio. Mrs Nod is looking out of our bedroom window on the streetview shots! I'd have mooned them!

The trams are working well. You may have visited during the industrial dispute over the contract when all work stopped while they hammered out contract penalty details. There was another brief pause when the city council "decided" to cancel the whole thing because it was costing too much. Within days they agreed to finish what was considered to be the minimal financially viable service, airport to city centre. The trams have turned out to be more popular than many feared, pulling in more fares than the financial projections expected. The city council is now looking for ways to finance the next expansion, which will take the trams on from the city centre at least down to Leith. It's a cheap extension, since most of the digging up and moving under road services (water, gas, electricity, phone, etc.) away from the proposed tram tracks down to Leith has already been done, and they already have the extra trams needed, since they originally bought enough for the big route which got truncated and couldn't find anyone to buy or rent the excess trams when they shortened the service when the money ran out.

I find the tram to be so much quieter and smoother than a bus journey that I much prefer to use it.
