Hello all,

Ive a range of photos from various occasions in the past year or so, cycling, mucking around on sand dunes etc.

I want to 'stack' or sequence the images and wondering with the software I have available what the simplest and most straight forward method is..
  • Lightroom 4
  • StarStax
  • Premiere Elements 10
I use all of these on a macbook if this helps; and mention star stax as i figured it could be a brilliant quick fix but the 'blending' rather than literally stacking and keeping the quality of the image prior makes each stage opaque.

Advice always welcome even on the sequence producing itself! Sorry if i haven't used the search tool very well and I'm rediscussing prior topics.

I think it might help if you clarified exactly what you want to achieve. Terms like 'stacking' don't necessarily mean the same thing to one person as they do to another.

Is it a slide show you are after? or a time lapse effect? Lightroom can do slideshows..

I'm guessing you want a single exposure where the subject appears in multiple positions in the sequence across the frame, what your need to do in simplest terms is stack the various images as layers in a single image and then selectively erase the sections from each layer that you don't need

Exactly this! Sorry wasn't sure of a description but thats it - how to do so without additional software is what I yet haven't achieved

I'm a CS6 user I've never used LR or PSE however assuming you can create layers in one of those then you should be able to do it in one of those  hopefully someone will be along shortly familiar with the software you have

No problem thank you sadly no access to photoshop i probably should acquire a version, many thanks for getting this in the right direction

You have layers in Elements 10 which will enable you to do what you are trying to do!
You create a layer with each pic and then create a layer mask for each layer and then erase the portion you want to show through on the layer mask!

This may help explain it a little better!

The 'dummies' may be more appropriate than it intends. Ive always used adobe premiere elements 10 for video editing? (n)
