Seperation

She emailed me with a specific time and then wasn't there, I called 3 times in fact
Sorry if I did not make that clear in my rant :(
Ok, rant was well justified then!

As good as they can be I guess

All the paper work was signed and finalized earlier in the year

Still a number of people seem to think I married them as well but that's par for the course I guess

Sorry to read what you've been through, hope you're out the other side now and looking (trying to) forward.

Hope you have a good Christmas and a much better New Year :)

The first Christmas is the worst, but once you get over that, you can start to move on,
Some one told me a long time ago, you will come out the other side, and you will be a better person for it.
She was right

The last one ,thankfully 25 years ago cost me 55 grand and my yacht to get out of ,it also cost me health problems previous to the split in the way of extreme high blood pressure ,that's what's comes of being taken in by tall blondes with big tits . Don't give a toss about the money but selling the yacht to get started again broke my heart

This will technically be my second Christmas, doesn't make it any easier though

I let my ex have everything, mainly because it was more important to me that my daughter led a normal life as possible

Same here well over 30 years ago. I gave her my wage packet (the days when you got paid in cash) & asked for a few quid out of it to tide me over. I left with most of my clothes in a suitcase & a few years later managed to get some personal items back.

Even though I tried my hardest to keep everything as amenable as poss & let the ex dictate all the terms, hoping that the split would not affect my daughter too much, it was awful for quite a few years & I had to bite my lip on hundreds of occasions. I eventually had to take the ex to court to keep in regular contact with my daughter, who she used as a tool/stick to beat me with.

tbh, if I knew then what I know now, I'd have done it differently & not rolled over. I reckon long term, it will probably be beneficial that you were forced to go down the legal route. (sad as it is)

Time really is a great healer & your daughter will eventually see both sides of the split. Good luck. (y)

Sorry I don't mean to laugh, but that reminds me of the Kinks sunny afternoon.
My bitch changed all the passwords on the bank accounts, that was the first hint that something was up, and shifted money around, even an account / barrister couldn't see what she had done
or how much she had secreted ( over the years it seems) But it was quite a bit as she moved into a new house, Where the hell the deposit came from, I've no idea!
, hoping that the split would not affect my daughter too much,
Thankfully both my kids were in their 20's, I'm sure it hurt them, but they never really wanted to talk about it.

As has been said it does get easier, or atleast you adjust to the new way.

How old is your daughter?

And there's Tp to entertain us :D

Been there and done that, could write a very long book about it but it's all best forgotten.
Just to say it does get easier, and makes you a far wiser and better person but maybe a little harder person.
Christmas is a funny time, but it's come and gone before you know it, if you are lucky enough to see your daughter over Christmas then enjoy every minute of your time together.

Why do you think I made so many posts? :D
Yes it did save my sanity :)

I'd say all of that ;)

I kind of wish I'd been here when I needed it, maybe I'd still have some too :D

I split with my husband before the internet was a household commodity and I was left with a 6 month old baby and no transport either
When my daughter was 2 years old and I was going thorough a tough time, I remember the health visitor telling me she took after me, I had survived
a very tough and difficult time due to my determination, yep she was right, damn kids, that's was caused my insanity :D

Hi T,

Amie is 9 going on 19

Unfortunately at times Amie has started to display some not so nice behavior which my ex seems to do nothing to address, at least in my presence.

All I get is grief that it is all my fault.

And yes TP has helped greatly over the last year, not sure where I would have been if had not been for this great forum

It's tough isn't it, trying to communicate with an ex about a child, you'd think it would be in their interest to put differences aside and work together.

I was lucky in that respect with my marriage, we backed each other up, well until he remarried and then it seemed to change.
But with my youngest dad it's been battle about everything..

(It's not always us women) lol
