I've been reading through Mike's SEO advice on his website and it's been really useful.

I'm not great with html but I'm willing to give it a go but I have no idea how to edit html on Weebly. For example, I visited GT Metrix and apparently some of my links have ? in them. One is for twitter and I think the others are from Weebly. How do I change these when I can't even find them?

There are a few other issues GT Metrix flagged but I'll leave those for now

Hi Selena.
I can't see the ?, and the links appear to work fine, however, if you want total control over your website, I think you'll have to pay for the privilege. Weebly sites are fairly poor in most respects.

What are you hoping to gain from the SEO? you already hit the forst page of Google for your current chosen search term, are you wanting to cast your net wider? If so it'll take some serious work on a website to get a high score for 'zoo photography', you'll be up against international sites.

One is in the 'tweet' link below the photo on the home page - this is the standard format for links like this, and is not anything to worry about. The other is in the link to weebly in the footer, which I imagine will be hard coded into the template, i.e. not removable.

Just had a play with the Weebly site builder - the options for editing HTML seem to be non-existent, unless you built the site entirely from custom HTML elements. Even then your options are limited.

Edit - sorry, just found you can edit the HTML:

Go to the "Design" tab in while in your Editor mode and select a standard Weebly template you want to use. Click the "Edit HTML/CSS" tab towards the right top corner to open the template edit page.

Ah, thanks.
I just worried a little when GT Metrix flagged them up. All good now.

I don't want total control, I wouldn't know what to do with it :)

As for SEO, I know I won't get anywhere for 'zoo photography' for a long time and if I ever needed to I'd be building a new site for that.
I was just going through Mike's posts and trying to follow as many as I could but now you've asked the obvious question I don't think I need to. Thanks!

Good luick, there's some nice images.
