Just waiting for an email. Why can't they work after 5pm? I want to send my money off now :D

Remember they are 8 hour in front of us. 5pm here is 1am there. I'm sure they like to sleep as well :)

Ah right, I assumed the replies came from a UK office. Either way I wasn't expecting a reply until tomorrow :)

Eeee I'm all excited :D

No reply yet :( I imagine they have a lot of catching up to do as us UK lot will be bombarding them with emails while they're offline/sleeping :)

Had a reply now, but annoyingly my bank won't let me transfer the money without a card reader which they have conveniently never given me, so I'll have to finish work early and go to the bank!

What bank are you with, as you shouldn't need a card reader to do a bank transfer, if you have online banking it should just take a few clicks

Not necessarily, many banks now require the use of a 'thingumee' to do a transfer.

Worst is HSBC, stupid little delicate thing half the size of a credit card that's looks like a miniature '70s calculator, when it launched they described it as "for the wallet". Only problem is first time it's in the wallet it knacks the little screen you have to read the code off of because it's so cheaply made.

most banks require you to use these card readers it is to help prevent fraudulent activity on your account
why you would moan about the banks security systems is beyond me you'd moan more if you logged on and all your money had gone
I've had one of these for over 5 years

Yeah I imagine that it was just due to the large amount. I have used it to set up ongoing payments to a credit card, etc, so I know it does work. That being said, the bloke in the bank didn't understand why it didn't work.

Still, my £4122.05 is winging it's way to Hong Kong :D Now I'm looking at PC bits :D

Hong Kong ?
wasn't it HSBC in manchester

always feels better making transfers to a uk branch to me

No reply to bank transfer yet. Was around this time yesterday they replied to my initial BT request so won't panic yet. 14:31 to be exact. So hopefully my items will be shipped today. They did say yesterday that all items will be shipped individually.

It's like Christmas :D

And as if by magic I get another email from Tina telling me my items have shipped, and will be with me in 2-3 days!

Woooooo!

Certainly need one for Barclays unless your sending to a pre approved paye

http://ask.barclays.co.uk/help/online_banking/how_sentry

How does PINsentry work?

We've developed PINsentry in response to today's increasing security challenges. PINsentry works by building in extra levels of protection when you bank online. Quick and easy to use, PINsentry is a real step forward in online security. It is used by customers who set up payments or standing orders to someone new.

If you have a PINsentry card reader, you will use it every time you log-in to Online Banking and when you set up a payment to someone new for the first time or where you haven't previously saved their details.

However, you are able to set up a memorable word and passcode to gain access without your card reader to many Online Banking services. You'll be able to see your balances, transfer money between your Barclays accounts and make payments to people and companies you have paid before through Online Banking. However, payees on first-time payments will have to appear on our pre-approved list* if PINsentry is not used

I don't save any details on my account login
I have to re enter them all every time
no way am saving details on my lap top
maybe OTT and a bit of a pain but makes me feel safer

I don't save any password, other than unimportant forum log ins, and even then I've got an add on to encrypt them :)

Oh and all my stuff shipped yesterday, and should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I hope it's Tuesday as no one is here on
Wednesday :D

Just checked again, as I'm all excited and like playing with the trackers :D

3:29am the camera and 35mm left Hong Kong, with the 85mm following 3 hours later. My battery grip ordered via the other company based in the same place, left on the same transport by the look of it as that was also 3:29am.

One thing I've noticed is there's no mention of the 2nd battery, 32gb card and remote. Hopefully they'll be in the camera box!

One query I have though. The tracker says it'll be delivered by the end of tomorrow. Does that mean by 5pm or the actual end of the day?

Annoyingly I've got a 2 hour window when there'll be no one here tomorrow, so the later it arrives the better :)

Dubai, United Arab Emirates 16/09/2012 17:10 Departure Scan

It's still moving :) All three items are at the same point now, so looks like they'll all be arriving at the same time :)

 let's hope it doesn't come into play.

One thing I've noticed is that Panamoz (or UPS) go via hong kong - dubai, and digital rev (or DHL) go via hong kong - germany.

Wonder which bits get here first :D

I think Dubai is a much classier route, prefer my stuff to come that way :D

one of mine came via Dubai the other came via Germany both bought from panamoz and sent ups

Well I've got my mum to wait until as close as 3pm as she can, then I'll knock off work an hour early at 4. Hopefully it'll all come in one window or another. Shame I can't trust anyone around here to take delivery, or I'd have chosen another address. My sister is out on the town tonight so she'd be of no use :D

your mum will either be in the bath or hoovering so she won't here them lol

God I hope not. I've instructed her to listen for the door. Luckily in my house all the doors are windowed, so you can't miss someone coming to any door, or fail to hear them knock.

I'm starting to get paranoid now :D

when UPS arrive your mum will have nipped round a neighbours for tea and a gossip

Ha, no. On our little cul-de-sac everyone we know has moved away over the years. I think there may be 3 people that have lived here for the duration, and they're all people that we don't talk to. The new neighbours aren't too popular, and the bloke across the road is always out, either working or jogging :D

I want my toys now now now! *stamps foot* :D
