The downside of a true pinhole camera I suppose, and which I had never considered, there is nothing like a lens blocking stuff getting to the sensor.Just got a pinhole lens and whilst I like it the photos are largely unusable as my sensor is coated in dust! Hundreds of tiny spots. I've tried the air blower and cleaning mode already, didn't do anything
Yea, I've left some tape over the hole to make sure no dust gets when I'm not using it.The downside of a true pinhole camera I suppose, and which I had never considered, there is nothing like a lens blocking stuff getting to the sensor.
Sounds like it is time for a wet clean for you. Either try it yourself or pay someone to do it. The former is way more cost effective.

Yea I wondered about that. I've got 2 cameras, both have the dust so I'll try on the cheaper one
Yea, the tape is there to stop anymore! I've got a Sony a5000 as my backup camera so I'd happily just leave the pinhole on that providing I get it clean. If not then I might have to get a 6x6 pinhole, I don't print huge but the size I do print at I'm pretty sure the dust will be easily visibleYou probably already had dust on the sensor as it's just a result of using interchangeable lens cameras. When you shoot with the pinhole you're basically shooting around F130 upwards so every spec of dust will show.
Sweet cheers, I'll give it a go soon, just enjoying messing around with it at the moment.

That's a link to a test shot I did, rubbish photo but shows the dust when you zoom in
CheersNice one, that's a good result. I've only shot pinhole on 120 film, never on my digital kit.
Cheers. 120film is what got me into it actually. I was bought 120 hp5 instead of 35mm by mistake so went on Ebay looking for cheap cameras and came across 120pin hole cameras. I would like one day but I'm impatient! I like the instant results of digital lol.
