So after buying a d300 on here not so long ago, the sensor is absolutely filthy.

Can someone reccomend me a method of cleaning? i've tried rocket blower but that didn't get it all out.

Also, when i'm using flash guns.. there seems to be an array of dust in the sky, is this just the flash illuminating the dust on the sensor?

Do you have an example, with exif data intact? Are they dark spots, or lighter grey/white spots? I'd guess dark if they're in the sky...

So when you say an image of the sky, it's at night?

If so, they're probably just particles in the air that are being picked up by the flash - it's what causes the "orbs" that ghost hunters etc. go on about...

The two very bright spots look like something reflecting back - maybe some kind of sign?

A dirty sensor generally shows when you take a pic of the sky with a small aperture (low f-number) where the sky is allowed to become washed out (so a longer shutter speed), and they'll appear as grey/black spots. They will always appear in the same location on every image, but not every image will show them - depends on how light the sky is, and what your aperture is set to...
