Useful tip when checking for dust/dirt on your sensor.

Open the image in photoshop, go to image / adjustments / auto levels. Photoshop highlights the remaining crud.

You need minimum aperture to see all the sensor dust... The dust is not actually on the sensor itself but on a low pass filter in front of the sensor which is there to protect it. The distance between the surface of the filter and the sensor is enough to throw dust particles out of focus at any aperture above minimum. You'll still see the big ones at f11 but not as clearly and the small ones will disappear altogether. Shutter speed is unimportant so just stop it all the way down.
