No
anything I need to know ?

apart from that they have nutsy customs that can take some time before it reaches the buyer.

I might need to send my dslr to Italy, does PO have a service for lets say - insured up to 150 airmail 3-4days delivery ?

was in the PO today but didn't have time to chat. I promised to respond the buyer today.

thanks,
D.

RM Airsure may be what you want, but in my experience, Italian Post will not get a signature and don't give it priority!

hmm.. yeah ! I think I have used airsure or something. but it was a cheap thing so I had no worries.

what about insurance if it gets lost etc ?

Have a butchers HERE Tells you all you need to know!

oh !

I see !

I used airmail

with airsure the postage will cost about 13 quid. don't know if he'll want to do this.

Be warned, the Italian postal service is an absolute nightmare, the Customs service won't be involved if you're shipping UK-Italy though.....

Have a look at 'Signed For International' then, its a bit cheaper but only insured up to £30. You can pay extra for more cover.
I would be very wary of sending it ordinary airmail! (especially to Italy!)

No idea what it's like shipping to Africa, Italy is the only place I refuse to send stuff to....

in % how many deals had problems ?

I've seen lots of sellers refusing to send to italy, the same as with post ussr countries.

100% before I stopped sending there, not that that was a lot of parcels, but if every single one goes missing or returned it becomes slightly irritating....

I have a brother who lives in Milan and he thinks that the postal service in Italy is so unreliable that if he needs to get anything sent by mail he has it sent to my parents' UK address & picks it up when he comes to visit!

My advice to anyone considering using the Italian postal service for anything valuable and/or fragile is FORGET IT !!!

Hope this helps.

Having previously experienced both receiving and sending mail involving the Italian postal service, I wouldn't send a second-hand fart to Italy by anything other than courier. Try DHL.

just checked - too expensive. as the camera is pretty cheap by all standarts.

thank you.

Does anyone know what DHL charge to get a second hand fart to Italy?

Parcelforce via Parcel2go would ship it (the camera, not the fart ) for £20 + vat. The only problem is that P2G won't cover cameras for damage....
