I have done some photography for someone ove in France, and now it comes to sending the photos he would prefer I send them online. What filesharing websites do people use/recomend?

I have used the likes of Rapidshare etc for recieving files but never sharing.

I use Flickr (pro a/c) which I find very good as you can use a batch uploader with the pro account.

You can also download any size pics from Flickr.

The only possible downside is you need a Yahoo account.

You can also load smaller pics onto Facebook if you both have an account.

.

Problem is I have around 50 photos I have put into a .rar file totalling about 180mb, I don't want them on show to the public. I wanted to use something like rapidshare (trying now but not uploading any time soon) so I can just email him the link to download them.

I use Dropbox (http://www.dropbox.com/). Free (2Gb restriction), fast, and file management is painless.

It's handy when you want to keep the photos private (rather than using Flickr etc). It creates a separate folder in MyDocuments and you just drag things in there and it uploads at its own pace. No need to hang around waiting.

I have my own hosting, so just create directories and upload as needed.

Another vote for Dropbox here.

DropBox rocks! I use it with all my clients

Spooks

I ended up just posting them by CD in the end, but if this becomes a refular occurance I shall look into some server space :)

Megaupload is fast and free. It has a 1GB limit per file.

Make sure you password protect the rar thou when sending anything online.

Yousendit.com works well. But the free version only have a 100mb limit and you can only send one file as a time so you need to put your images in a zipped folder if sending multiple.
