I heard you can send your Nissin Di622 to Kenro and they would do a free firmware update.

I contacted them and they indeed said just send it and they would do it Free. BUT I am usually of the thought that you get nothing for free so what's the catch.

Any one else use them for this ?

My e-mail I got was this :

Dear Mr Young,

We can install a firmware update for you. This is a free of charge service. From receipt of your flashgun, it will usually be returned the following day. We cannot guarantee that all wireless triggers are compatible with the update.

Please send your Di622, with a note saying that it is for the firmware update to the address below.

Kenro are the UK agents for all Nissin products. I don't see anything suspicious about the email at all.

Maybe some bacofoil is in order?

there is no catch send it off and they send it back and even pay for the postage for the return. great service i also have a di622 not purchased the flash triggers yet. good luck :)
