sending an image off for canvas

Hi all,

hoping somebody can help. I took some photos of my lad when he was born a couple of days ago the wifes birthday is coming up and she likes one photo inparticular. What size file etc and DPI should I be looking at to get the best possible canvas print? never done this before was looking at using snapfish maybe???
