and it's tiny, very sleek looking though. From eBay for £65 from the Canon store, bargain :)

if you're interested I'll do a mini review when I get it set up?

Congratulations on your new purchase;)

Looks very tidy :)

I'd be interested in a review:thumb:

I got a Sony DyeSub and they are perfect for producing durable good quality photos just like a lab - wouldnt be without one.

Was that bought for on site printing to do with the equestrian photography?

I bought one for the wife to use with her Ixus....so far it's been fantastic :)

I get my PC back, she gets her pics printed and i've a sneaky feeling my 20D will plug straight in to it too :suspect1:

LOL busted ;)

Yes, that's part of it, also for various marketing bits and pieces for the horses but also the motocross which I've gradually started to make inroads with. One of the papers you can use is a postcard, anybody I don't see at events can expect to receive a postcard of their pride and joy. I'll treat these as a give away :)

Have you any idea of the likely running costs when you factor in the ink and paper too?

from what I've been able to find out it's about 22p a print so the cost of advert works out about 50p per person for product and postage and my time whatever that costs.

I don't *?&%**ing believe it, faulty :hissyfit: :hissyfit: :sadcry: :thumbdown Six prints all the same, identical. Although what's there looks to be excellent quality :laugh1:

So it just stops printing half way through???

Thats very weird

Have you tried removing the ink roller cartridge and replacing?

no Steve, it's only printing half the width. The way it works it should print all the yellow in a pass, then the cyan, then the magenta. For some reason it's only putting the ink down across half the paper.

I'm not sure but I think dye sub heats the ink, if that's the case it implies there's something wrong with the heater. Having said that for all the size of it why it would need more than one element beats me :Ponders:

Twice, and cleaned it

That's a b****r! :(
Yeah, just spoke to Canon service though, if I send it back to them direct they'll either repair or replace so it's back in the box ready to go.

If it's any consolation, the bit on the right looks quite good :)

Well that's ok then, shame none the less as it does jade your new toy slightly.

I'm sorry to read of the problems with your selphy, the wife hasn't used her's yet :eek2: because the lead for the camera was up in the loft.

I'll be making sure she tries it when she gets home. :)

A quick update from me

Our selphy works perfectly, the results are great. :)

Did you try using a different ink cartridge at all?

From watching ours print, it looks like your colours are only working on ½ the width. I'd have thought that the heater is OK, because it's put the colours and the film over the printed side.

Hope it goes well for you.
