Hello all...

I am looking for some advise on the best way to (Hopefully) sell images.

What are the best sites for selling images on, I would like to make some money from my photography however I am unsure as to how to proceed.

All advise welcomed.

Depends what avenue you wish to go down. Some options include:

Stock agencies - some are hard to be accepted in to. Prices vary. Success varies. Some agencies can pay as little as 10p per downloaded image so you would need to sell quite a lot. Some togs on here make a decent profit using the larger agencies.

Own Site - have your own site and market it well.

Gallery - use a gallery.

I am sure there are many more options.

as brains says there are lots of ways,

stock libraries are one of our main ones, i know people in the microstock world who get 15p a picture but make 600 quid per site every 4 - 5 weeks so they do pay. alamy is one of the main ones that is not microstock.

what type of things do you shoot, who would they appeal to? bird watchers? tourists

its hard to say without knowing the type of photography

Thanks to you both for the response, I shoot wildlife, landscape, and macro... trying to turn my hand to most aspects...

Its a learning curve, however its also a pleasure that is fun, and gets me out of the house.
